Tiny Christmas Treat Box With Trees

Tiny Christmas Treat Box With Trees

It’s time to be making some Christmas treats to have on hand or to gift as extra little gifts or stocking stuffers. Here is one you can make in minutes using a couple of punches, paper, and ribbon…..plus the candy!

I always have some Clear Tiny Treat Boxes on hand because you can make something like this little Christmas treat very quickly and easily. Just put whatever candy treat you have inside or even a very small gift and then decorate.

I got the idea for decorating this treat box kind of from the Christmas card I made on yesterday’s post with the Pine Tree Punch and using the same paper!

To make my little treat box really quick and easy, I just punched out a green Christmas tree from the ‘Tis The Season 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper using the Pine Tree Punch. I was only going to put that one tree on the front of the box, but I liked some of the red paper too so I thought, “Why not have two red trees also?”. I punched out two red trees and placed them on each side behind the green tree. Next, I thought it would be nice to have a piece of Gold Foil behind the trees, so I punched a circle that would fit with the 2″ Circle Punch.

For a little bling, I of course had to add a few of the Holiday Rhinestone Jewels just to the green plaid tree. The final step was to just tie a Real Red 3/8″ Stitched Satin Ribbon around the box. Not only is it decorative for the top of the box but it also keeps the lid closed! You could also add a greeting on the box or tie it on to the ribbon, perhaps from the Itty Bitty Christmas Stamp Set.

These Clear Tiny Treat Boxes keep you from having to look up measurements to make a little box! They store flat and all you have to do is unfold it, crease on the score lines, and make it into the box. Be sure to put a package on your next order!

Poinsettia Decorated Mini Coffee Carrier

Poinsettia Decorated Mini Coffee Carrier

I’ve had these carriers for a while and kept forgetting to use them, but here is one for you today, my Poinsettia Decorated Mini Coffee Carrier! These will be fun to make for neighbor gifts or treats or extra presents for your family. You can use them in so many different ways for so many different treats!

Fill the cups with cocoa mix, or maybe just one cup and then on the other side put cello bags of marshmallows and maybe a peppermint stirrer. Put any kind of candy or maybe small cookies inside the cups. Fill cello bags with a treat and insert those inside the cup but leave off the lid so the recipient will see the pretty treat bag tied with a ribbon and a tag. Decorate the Mini Coffee Carrier but put in gifts of small candles or bath products or some other kind of product or container. The ideas are endless!

Mini Coffee Carrier Flat

This is what the Mini Coffee Carrier starts out like! It is folded flat so you don’t have to worry about storage space. Just start sticking your hands in there to open it up and then when it gets loosened up, crease and fold on all the score lines to make your carrier. Play around with those tabs on the bottom and make sure you have them assembled so they are strong to hold the contents of the carrier. You get 8 kraft carriers for only $5!

The coffee cups are separate if you would like those. Order the Mini Coffee Cups and get eight cups and lids and they are food safe and can hold a beverage up to 200 degrees F.

Mini Coffee Carrier Side Paper

Here I started decorating my carrier with paper in the Poinsettia Place Designer Series Paper. You can wrap a strip of paper around as far as it will go or you can do as I did, just cut paper to fit each side of the carrier. To leave a small margin of the carrier showing, I cut my designer paper at 2 1/8″ x 5 1/2″ for the front and back and 2 1/8″ x 2 5/8″ for each end. I tried to match the pattern but it wasn’t that important with this paper, but make sure you check your patterns so one isn’t upside down or completely doesn’t match and look good.

Poinsettia Decorated Mini Coffee Carrier Front Decoration

To decorate my carrier, I cut out a large poinsettia from one of the papers and die cut the leaves with the Poinsettia Dies. I used Garden Green Cardstock. For the berry sprigs, I die cut those from Whisper White Cardstock and then colored the berries with the Dark Real Red Stampin’ Blend and Dark Soft Suede for the stems. The flower and leaves are popped up on Stampin’ Dimensionals® and the sprigs adhered with tiny bits of Multipurpose Liquid Glue on the berries.

Poinsettia Decorated Mini Coffee Carrier Tag

I actually love this tag that I came up with! The Garden Green tag is punched with the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch. The Whisper White layer is stamped with a Happy Holidays greeting in the Poinsettia Petals Stamp Set. Then I stamped the berry sprig in Crumb Cake ink to make a lighter interesting background. The poinsettia is hand-cut from the designer paper. The tag is tied on with the Real Red Sheer Ribbon.

There are dies to order to make wrappers to go around the cups for decoration. If you don’t order these, you may have to cut up a cup for a template to make your paper fit around the cup. The dies are called Warm Wrap Dies and they will make your life easier! Since I don’t own them, I punched a strip of Real Red with the Lovely Labels Pick a Punch and adhered that to the cup, then added another hand-cut small poinsettia flower to each label.

It’s time to be thinking about making some holiday gifts! Really, you could use these any time of year! All you have to do is decorate for any occasion.

A Quick and Easy Halloween Card With Ghosts

One of my favorite things of all in stamping is making ghosts out of hearts cut in half! You’ve got to try it!! Here’s an easy card with ghosts and some fun Halloween paper in the background. But you could also just use Basic Black maybe with a few “Boos” written in the background or embossed.

Happy Halloween!

Mini Curvy Keepsake Box Halloween Witch

Mini Curvy Keepsake Box Halloween Witch

I think with all the shiny new products, which are great, we have forgotten about products we already have which are perfect for this upcoming holiday season, fall, and Halloween like this Mini Curvy Keepsake Box Halloween Witch. You can make all kinds of little gift boxes and even characters using this Mini Curvy Keepsakes Box Dies. So much opportunity for creativity!

This little Mini Curvy Keepsake Box is so easy to make, no matter what else you are going to do to it! Just die cut the one piece and fold on the score lines. Your box will come together quite well! After scoring and creasing the fold lines, it might be good to kind of press down on the sides to kind of get that curve going a little bit. Then hold the two handles together and slip the two sides with slots right over the handles. Then decorate the box however you like.

For the Halloween witch, I used a piece of Granny Apple Green Cardstock. I assembled the box and then added the witch features. I had a bag of googlie eyes so I opted to use two of those. You could just use circles of black and white cardstock. The witch’s nose is from the 1/2″ Circle Punch (retired, sadly) but if you don’t have the punch you can just cut one by hand or find a punch in your stash that will work. I had some black dots so I put one on her nose for a wart! I just drew in the mouth and freckles with the Basic Black Stampin’ Blend using the tip end, not the brush end.

For the hair, I just grabbed some twine I had, thinking it was Linen Thread but I think it was some natural colored twine I had from something. I just cut a few strands, tied them together in the middle with another piece and adhered them to the witch’s head! You could do cardstock strips, yarn, shredded paper, other ribbon or string you have.

The witch’s hat I sort of copied from one I’d seen on Pinterest or somewhere. You could use the old Tree Punch we used to have but I used the Pine Tree Punch which is current. I punched out two trees. I didn’t want the shaggy edges that make it look like a tree so I just cut along the two sides and cut those edges off so that I had a perfect triangle. I used Black Glimmer Paper because I had some scraps which the punch fit, but not the hat base. For that, I just happened to find this large scalloped circle already cut out and just went with that. Cut a slit in the center of the hat base in which you will insert the triangle top of the hat. I took the two trees and adhered them together with Glue Dots near the top. You want to keep most of the bottom open so you can slide it over the box handles. Then fold the tree trunk up facing the tree, on each side, and use Mini Glue Dots to adhere those trunks to the hat base after inserting through that slit. That way the tree is attached to the hat base but it can still be placed over the box handles.

For a little embellishment, I tied on a Terracotta Tile ribbon and stuck on a little plastic Halloween blackbird sticker I had in my stash. You can just barely see it against the black witch’s hat.

That’s all there is to it! You could make a ghost out of white paper, a scarecrow, Frankenstein, some other monster, or a pumpkin! All with this one die and that’s just for Halloween! Have fun playing with the Mini Curvy Keepsake Die and see what you can make with it!

Paper Pumpkin Halloween Treat Holders

Paper Pumpkin Halloween Treat Holders

These Paper Pumpkin Halloween Treat Holders aren’t finished yet, but I thought I would show you how cute they are! Actually, they ARE finished, I just would have to put treats inside and then tie a piece of twine around the other end of the treat holder and it’s done!

This is the September 2020 “Hello Pumpkin” Paper Pumpkin kit! Paper Pumpkin is a monthly subscription for a papercrafting kit to be mailed to you around the middle of each month. There is no risk or obligation and you can skip a month if you need to!

Rather than make all the treat holders I could possibly make with this kit when I don’t know if I will have any trick-or-treaters this year, I made these and I’m going to make “alternate” projects with the rest of the supplies! And that’s perfectly okay with any of the kits! Every month there are alternate ideas posted online that you can get inspired by if you prefer to make something different with your kit. I plan to make Halloween cards with these supplies Or maybe I will make cards and a few more treat holders and save them for next year when we won’t have the pandemic and kids can trick-or-treat again safely.

October 10th is the last day this month to get signed up in order to get the NEXT Paper Pumpkin kit, which will be mailed out mid-October. It is a holiday kit which you can read all about HERE.

It’s time to be making Halloween treats and cards, whatever you like! Maybe some Halloween home decor!

Witch’s Boots For Halloween!

Witch's Boot For Halloween

Something fun to make for Halloween is a witch’s boot out of a toilet paper roll or a paper towel roll. You can use it for a decoration in your house or you can put candy treats inside the roll or into a narrow cello bag, tie with a ribbon at the top, and put it into the boot. These are actually easy to make – just wrap the paper around the tube and add a triangle cardstock piece at the bottom for the boot.

Since I had an empty paper towel roll, I decided to make a pair of boots this year! I cut the roll in half so I could have two boots. Then I chose the Artistry Blooms Designer Series Paper to use for the stocking. Really you could use almost any of the papers in that package, especially if you wanted your witch to have some crazy stockings! But I chose this green ombre print paper pattern which definitely looked like Halloween. Just cut a piece of paper that will it the length of your roll and long enough to go all the way around the roll.

For the boot piece, cut a piece of Basic Black Cardstock to go around the bottom of the roll that just meets and then fold back the edges to look like the collar of the top of the boot. It will be just as tall as you want the boot to look, maybe about an inch high or so. For the base of the boot, just cut a triangle-shaped piece. The wide back end should be wide enough for the paper roll to fit on it. From there it tapers down to a point that you can roll back a little for the toe of the boot. I used Multipurpose Liquid Glue on the very bottom of the paper towel roll to adhere to that triangle piece.

If you want a boot buckle, just cut a piece that will fit in the space and then cut a smaller piece of black to adhere to the center to make it look like a buckle, but you don’t have to cut out the center of the buckle. It’s a “faux buckle”! I used Gold Foil for the buckle, but you can get creative and use any color you like.

Just for fun I added three rows of lace to the top of the witch’s stocking using the Very Vanilla 3/8″ Scalloped Lace Trim. I just used Mini Glue Dots to hold the lace in the back.

Click HERE to see the witch’s boot I made last year in 2019 and HERE to see one from 2018. Here’s one from 2014! See how fun and easy they are to make!

Use your imagination when you get a toilet paper roll or paper towel roll that you can use and make up your own Witch’s Boot for Halloween!

Happy Halloween (a little early!)!

Clear Tiny Treat Box With Sunflower

Clear Tiny Treat Box With Sunflower

One of my favorite extra products in the Stampin’ Up! Catalog besides stamps, paper, and ink, are the Clear Tiny Treat Boxes which can be decorated like this Clear Tiny Treat Box With Sunflower. Put a candy treat inside or a small gift and you are good to go! Just keep a package of these treat boxes in your stash for any occasion that arises.

The stamped sunflower is the smaller one in the Celebrate Sunflowers Stamp Set. This is the technique I used to stamp and color this sunflower:

  • Use Stampin’ Write Markers to color directly on the stamp in the different colors, huff on the stamp, then stamp on Whisper White Cardstock.
  • Use a Blender Pen to pick up ink from the ink pad lids of whatever colors you choose to lightly color in the white space on the stamped flower. Although I used a Crushed Curry marker to color on the stamp, I used So Saffron Ink with my Blender Pen to fill in the flower petals. I used a Granny Apple Green marker for the leaves but colored in with Mint Macaron.
  • The flower center didn’t look good filled in with Soft Suede so I went back with Cajun Craze lightly to match the markers. When it looked too solid or something, I used the small tip of the marker to fill in a lot of tiny dots around that center.
  • The very center has some yellow and a tiny bit of green.

Blender pens are good to use because you tend to get a lighter color using them but you can pick up more ink and get a darker shade. We used to use Blender Pens all the time, back in the “olden days” when I first became a Demonstrator. You can pick up ink from the ink pad or lid with them, pick up ink directly from the marker tip, blend Watercolor Pencil colors or even pick up color directly from the Watercolor Pencil tip. They are so handy and versatile. Just enough moisture to work but not enough to pill the cardstock, unless you work it too much. In that case, Shimmery White Cardstock is better than Whisper White.

The sunflower is die-cut with the Sunflowers Die. Then I wrapped a ribbon around the treat box and adhered the die-cut sunflower. This ribbon I used is the green gingham in the Flowers For Every Season Ribbon Combo Pack.

After putting your treat or gift inside, you could tie the ribbon around from the bottom to the top instead or just add a bow to the lid of the box. You could stamp a little tag to add as well.

There are so many things you can do with these Clear Tiny Treat Boxes! They are handy for so many occasions! Here is a favorite one I made at Easter.

Here is a close-up of the sunflower so you can see the coloring. You could also stamp in Memento Black ink and color with Stampin’ Blends. Or use Watercolor Pencils.

Colorful Lollipop Greeting Card

Colorful Lollipop Greeting Card

I had saved a magazine photo from YEARS ago with a card like this Colorful Lollipop Greeting Card. It has survived the purging of the file of torn out magazine pages, mostly scrapbook page ideas, several times so I finally decided to leave it out on my coffee table so maybe I would finally make it someday soon. Well, the day came and I made a card with this cute lollipop made out of circles!

There weren’t any super specific instructions on how to make this but I thought it would be easy enough to figure out. It’s a great way to use up some scraps of cardstock or even designer paper or mix the two.

You can use various sizes of circles, whatever suits your fancy and fits on your card. I used a 1″ Circle Punch (retired) but you could use something larger or larger die cuts. I just chose a bunch of colors of cardstock that looked good together.

It may seem a little difficult to get the circles placed correctly in a circle to form the lollipop. It might help you to put a pencil dot on your card where you want the center of the lollipop to be and you can kind of arrange the circles around that. When you get to the last circle in the lollipop, tuck it under the beginning circle, otherwise the two pieces on either side of that first circle will overlap it. So you want the last circle to tuck under it.

Use the Multipurpose Liquid Glue to just dab in between the circles to adhere them together into the lollipop shape. That glue gives you a little “wiggle time” to get the circles shaped the way you want them. After you get the lollipop formed, you can either glue it down directly onto the card front or pop it up with Stampin’ Dimensionals® or cut down some Foam Adhesive Strips to fit.

If you have a real lollipop stick, that would be fun to use or just cut a very thin strip of cardstock. I had a white one but of course it didn’t show up against this white cardstock so I just use a strip of Bumblebee Cardstock instead. Then I tied a bow of Bumblebee Gingham Trim and adhered it to the stick with a Mini Glue Dot.

For the greeting, I thought this one in the So Sentimental Stamp Set was perfect! I stamped it in Magenta Madness Ink and die cut with a die in the Stitched So Sweetly Dies. Then I die-cut another piece out of Magenta Madness that was smaller and I just cut it in half so I could use each end under the greeting to help it stand out from the Whisper White card layer.

I also thought it would be fun to stamp the little confetti stamp around the card in different colors to fill in all the white space. I just used some of the lollipop colors. The card base is Magenta Madness with a layer of Soft Sea Foam cardstock.

This is certainly a fun card to make and something different. It would be fun to make a few and make them into birthday cards or just “Hello” cards to send to a friend to brighten their day! Who wouldn’t be happy to receive this special Colorful Lollipop Greeting Card card?!

Easy Easter Candy Treats

Easy Easter Candy Treats

If you want to make some last-minute Easy Easter Candy Treats, these will work! These are quick and simple and you can vary the size according to the candy treat you have to put inside. You could even not cut an opening in the front and just decorate the front for the occasion and tuck your candy treat inside. You can make these taller or wider.

These candy treat holders are 2″ x 8 1/2″ to start with but depending on your candy, you can cut them down a little shorter. The 2″ width is so the piece of cardstock will fit into the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch. Cut the 2″ x 8 1/2″ strip of cardstock and punch each end in the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch. Then place one end at the 3 3/4″ inch mark on the Paper Trimmer and score, then turn and place the other end at the 3 3/4″ mark and score. That gives you the little space in which to place your candy treat.

Before you put the candy inside, decide if you want a different color background inside. The Daffodil Yellow treat holder has a Whisper White piece stamped with the little green leaves in Welcome Easter, although you really can’t see them! The Melon Mambo treat holder doesn’t have an inside layer. However, on that one, I stamped the little flowers in the Welcome Easter Stamp Set on the front. The greeting is stamped from the Itty Bitty Greetings Stamp Set and punched out with the handy dandy Classic Label Punch. To decorate the Daffodil Delight holder, I just added some small Rhinestone Jewels.

I didn’t have any exciting Easter candy but these little chocolate bunnies which are pretty flat fit in just fine. So if you had a larger chocolate bunny, for example, you probably would need to make the base wider and therefore the strip longer in the beginning. Then you can die-cut or punch some kind of opening in the front. Just add a ribbon to tie the top together and you’re done!

Sometimes you need to give credit where credit is due so I must give credit to myself! I made a similar Easter treat last year but I had a cuter piece of candy to put inside! You can see that post HERE.

None of us will be having big family Easter dinners this year, so it would be easy to make one of these Easter candy treats to put at each place at the table for you and your spouse, or children, or whoever you are living with during this quarantine time.

Easter Bunny Clear Tiny Treat Box

Easter Bunny Clear Tiny Treat Box

Which do you like better, the Easter Bunny Clear Tiny Treat Box or the chocolate bunnies?! Luckily, they go together so you can like both and not choose! Any time you need a quick and easy treat box, you can turn to the Clear Tiny Treat Boxes in the Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog!

I intentionally made this Easter treat super simple. You can decorate these Clear Tiny Treat Boxes in many ways, of course. I started with the bunny in the Welcome Easter Stamp Set. It is stamped in Memento Ink and colored in with a Light Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blend marker and a bit of the Dark for shading. For the little bit of pink in his ears and bottom of his feet, I used a Light Flirty Flamingo Stampin’ Blend Marker.

Since the area on the front of the Tiny Treat Box is fairly small, I just cut out the bunny by hand. I wrapped around a 3/4″ strip of Seaside Spray Cardstock, one of the current In Colors, around the box. If you put the ends of the strip on the front of the box, the junction of those paper ends will be covered up by the image you put on the front of the box. You could also use ribbon, but since I was going to tie ribbon around the top of the box, I just used cardstock. You could also use some pretty border dies to die cut a strip going around the box. You can apply a little bit of Snail Adhesive to hold the strip in place. Then the bunny is popped up on Stampin’ Dimensionals on the center of the box front.

Be sure to fill the box first with candy treats or a small gift and then tie with a ribbon. This is decorative plus holds the lid of the box closed for sure. The ribbon I used is the Seaside Spray 1/2″ Scalloped Linen Ribbon. It is very pretty with the linen and the light blue! I just tied it around in a bow. You could also adhere just the ribbon and then tie a bow separately to adhere to the top of the box if you wanted the bow closer to perfect.

Here is a very similar design with a Clear Tiny Treat Box that I made for Halloween using a strip of designer paper around the box and a Halloween image cut out from designer paper with a ribbon tied around the box.

That’s all there is to it! You could also stamp a “Happy Easter” greeting or a “Happy Spring” greeting. Maybe it would be a party favor at a baby shower and that would be cute with the bunny! Keep a stash of these Clear Tiny Treat Boxes on hand to use for quick treats or gifts or order a quantity for a party or event. Heart Foil Tin For a Birthday Gift

Heart Foil Tins For a Birthday Gift

Don’t put away those Heart Foil Tins just because Valentine’s Day is over! If you have some tins left over after Valentine’s Day, you can still use them for other occasions, like this Heart Foil Tin For a Birthday Gift.

Here is one I made for part of a friend’s birthday gift. Hearts are for any time so I think you can use the Heart Doilies and designer paper for decorating!

Here is how I decorated this birthday candy tin. I punched out a heart in the From My Heart Specialty Designer Series Paper with the scalloped-edge punch in the Heart Punch Pack. Then I stamped a greeting in the center of the paper heart from the Heartfelt Stamp Set. This heart was then layered on the designer paper heart and adhered to the white side of one of the Heart Doilies. This all fits perfectly in the indented heart shape of the tin lid.

The birthday greeting is stamped from the Itty Bitty Greetings Stamp Set and layered on a piece of Flirty Flamingo Cardstock. For a final touch, I used some retired Share What You Love Artisan Pearls scattered around on the heart and Rhinestone Basic Jewels on the greeting.

So keep those Heart Foil Tins handy in your stash so you can use them whenever you need a little treat for someone or even a small little gift box!

Decorated Heart Foil Tins For Valentine’s Day

Decorated Heart Foil Tins

Try these Decorated Heart Foil Tins For Valentine’s Day if you want to make some quick treats! You can really decorate these heart foil tins in just a minute unless you want to add more embellishments! And if you want to really do it up right, you can bake something INSIDE the tin!

I started with the top heart tin in the photo. I just put in four chocolate candy truffles and snapped on the plastic lid. For decoration I just adhered a Flirty Flamingo Heart Doily and then punched a heart with the plain edge heart punch in the Heart Punch Pack from the From My Heart Specialty Designer Series Paper and adhered that. Done! So cute even with just gluing on two hearts! What could be easier!

Next I decorated the heart tin on the bottom right. This one was almost the same except I turned the colored heart doily over to show the white side! Did you know you could do that?! This time I used the scalloped edge heart punch to put a heart out of the same designer paper and stamped a greeting from the Heartfelt Stamp Set. You can buy both this stamp set and the Heart Punch Pack in the Heartfelt Bundle and save 10%. Just stamp a greeting on a heart, layer it on another heart and adhere to the cover of the heart tin! How easy is that?!

For the last heart tin, the bottom left one, I did the same thing with a doily and punched heart from the designer paper, then added a small bow with the Whisper White 1/4″ Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon. I stamped a greeting from the Itty Bitty Greetings Stamp Set and punched it out with the Classic Label Punch. Then I layered that on a piece of Flirty Flamingo cut wider than the punched piece and cut off the ends to match. It is popped up with the Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals. Then I added two of the From My Heart Faceted Gems. (These are backordered as I write this.)

There you have three ideas for these fun Heart Foil Tins to decorate for Valentine’s Day, but you can really decorate them for any occasion. Think how cute these would be for a birthday party for kids with the Bonanza Buddies Stamp Set characters or lots of other choices! You might want to stock up on these tins to have on hand for other fun occasions!

Easy to Make Valentine Ghirardelli Candy Treat Holders

Valentine Ghirardelli Candy Holders

Try these Easy to Make Valentine Ghirardelli Candy Holders for Valentine’s Day or any occasion for a little gift or favor. Once you have the measurements and the piece of candy, you are ready to make a special treat!

This is basically just a strip of cardstock, scored to that it will fold over a piece of chocolate candy, like a Ghirardelli chocolate (yum!). Then you just decorate the front for whatever occasion you have.

Start with a strip of cardstock cut at 9 5/8″ x 2 3/4″. Score at 2 3/4″ and 3″; 6 1/4″ and 6 1/2″. With these measurements, you could get three strips out of one sheet of cardstock. Fold and crease on the scored lines. Open the strip back up and you will see above and below the score lines, one section is shorter than the other.  You want the longer section to be the one that folds up to the inside.

Once you have identified the longer section, use the Classic Label Punch on that flap, inserting as far as you can, centered, to punch the opening for the chocolate. Put a piece of Tear & Tape as you see in the photo so you can fold up that flap and adhere to the inside, not quite up to the score line. You will want to stand the candy holder on the table making sure the bottom is flat as you adhere that flap.

Valentine Ghirardelli Candy Holder Base

Insert the chocolate candy piece to make sure everything fits right! If you do not have the Classic Label Punch, you can cut hand cut a slit or use the retired Word Window Punch.

Valentine Ghirardelli Candy Holder Petal Pink Inside

Now you can proceed to decorating the front of the candy holder and even that little area at the bottom, where you see I put a die-cut piece.

Valentine Ghirardelli Candy Holder Petal Pink

For this candy holder, I used Petal Pink Cardstock for the base. Even though it is for Valentine’s Day, I used a piece of designer paper in the Best Dressed Designer Series Paper! It had this polka dot piece of Petal Pink designer paper so it was perfect for a little background layer. I stamped a heart with the Heartfelt Stamp Set and punched it out with the plain heart in the Heart Punch Pack. You can buy the stamp set and two punches together in a Bundle and save 10% if you wish. The plain heart is layered on a piece of Sparkle Glimmer Paper punched out with the scalloped heart punch in the punch pack. You could also use Silver Glimmer Paper. The little piece at the bottom is a die-cut from the Painted Labels Dies in the Peaceful Poppies Suite.

The hearts are popped up on Dimensionals so that I could run a piece of scrap ribbon underneath just to hold the flap closed on the candy holder.

Valentine Ghirardelli Candy Holder Heart & Doily

This Valentine Ghirardelli Candy Treat Holder is made with the Flirty Flamingo Cardstock. The heart with foil accents is punched right out of the From My Heart Specialty Designer Series Paper and layered on a scalloped punched Flirty Flamingo heart. Then these were layered on a Heart Doily. But the doilies come in Real Red and Flirty Flamingo…..so just turn them over and you’ll have white! The ribbon tied around this candy holder is a new one in the Occasions Mini Catalog, the Whisper White 1/4″ Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon. One of the great things about this white ribbon is you can dye it any color you want with ink or Stampin’ Blends markers.

These Valentine Ghirardelli Candy Holders will be fun to make if you want to take some favors to the people in your office or a little treat for your family or neighbors or friends.
