Arrange a Wreath Easter Card

Arrange a Wreath Easter Card

This Arrange A Wreath Easter Card uses several products, unfortunately, from the Stampin’ Up! Last-Chance List. Every year we go through this with a bit of excitement and a bit of nostalgia. We wonder what will be retiring and then we groan when our favorites are on the list! It’s really kind of funny after you have been through it many times! And then when the new Stampin’ Up! Catalog comes out we’re all excited about the new products and almost forget about what retired! Yet there are always those products that we each must have in our stash, whether they have been around for awhile or maybe only a year or two.

Easter is coming next weekend so be sure you are ready for the Easter Bunny! Make some Easter cards to send and get them in the mail! If you already have the Arrange a Wreath Bundle, you can make some very pretty cards for Spring and Easter. This Bundle is good for all seasons, actually. I really wish it was not retiring yet! However, on this card, I just used the Wreath Builder Dies. The stamp set, dies, and Bundle are all backordered as I write this. Hopefully, they will be back in stock soon!

Another product retiring, that I just purchased, is the Playing With Patterns Designer Series Paper. These are 6″ x 6″ papers with such colorful and happy colors and patterns! I can’t believe I didn’t have it before now. There were several papers that I could have used for a background for this Easter card, but I chose this Calypso Coral paper with white dots and layered it on top of Basic White cardstock to brighten it up. The card base is Calypso Coral.

The wreath is one of two choices in leafy wreaths in the die set. And then you get all kinds of dies to add elements to your wreath. I chose the wreath with the small sprigs of leaves and decorated it with colored die-cut eggs and flowers along with the die-cut bow in the Wreath Builder Dies. For flower centers, I used the Gold Glitter Enamel Dots. I have used these a lot because Gold Glitter goes with a lot of things especially since they come in different sizes of dots. These dots are also retiring soon so get them while you can!

I actually forgot about the matching Arrange a Wreath Stamp Set, so I used the Easter greeting in the Itty Bitty Greetings Stamp Set. ALL the Itty Bitty Stamp sets are retiring, which really upsets me because I used all the Itty Bitty stamp sets a lot. You can find just about any greeting you could need in one of these sets! If you don’t have them, be sure to check them out in case you “need” them! The greeting is stamped in Calypso Coral Ink and punched out with the Classic Label Punch. Can we really live without this basic punch??! It was just perfect with the Itty Bitty greetings and many others.

Check out the Last-Chance Products List and Sale. The Classic Label Punch is even on sale, but is backordered. All of these products are available while supplies last.

The easiest way to see what is still available is just to go to the Stampin’ Up! Online Store and shop there. If you already have the Arrange a Wreath Bundle or dies, make a card for a friend or neighbor for Easter like this Arrange A Wreath Easter Card. You can even add a bunny if you want!

Plaid Tidings Christmas Wreath Card

Plaid Tidings Christmas Wreath

Fresh off making a Thanksgiving card with plaid designer paper, I wondered if I could do one with a wreath and I came up with this Plaid Tidings Christmas Wreath Card.

The card base is Real Red (although I could have used Cherry Cobbler also). Then I chose this red and green plaid pattern in the Plaid Tidings Designer Series Paper. I die cut a wreath with the Wreath Builder Dies. I was going to leave it as is, but I ended up cutting out another partial wreath out of Granny Apple Green for contrast and cut off little sprigs to add on to the main wreath.

I die cut several flowers of different sizes out of Real Red Cardstock with dies in the Wreath Builder Dies. Since the die punches out out a tiny center circle from the flowers, I decided to cut very small pieces of Bumblebee Cardstock to adhere to the back of every flower to give it a yellow center. I wouldn’t have had to since I planned to add a jewel to the center, but I did it. A little tedious, though! After placing and adhering the flowers around the wreath, I added Gold Glimmer Enamel Dots to some of the flowers.

The greeting is stamped in Real Red ink on Whisper White Cardstock from the Banner Year Stamp Set and die cut from the Tasteful Labels Dies. Then this greeting was layered on a Real Red die cut from the Ornate Frames Dies. I also added Gold Glimmer Enamel Dots to each end of that piece.

After I got the wreath adhered to the card front, I added a small bow to the top of the wreath. The ribbon is the All The Trimmings Ribbon Combo Pack. The red color is actually Poppy Parade trimmed in gold but it looks fine on my wreath. The other color in the ribbon combo is Old Olive.

The Arrange A Wreath Bundle is a great one to own and use well past Christmas. You know you can make a wreath for any occasion on any card or project so don’t think it is just for the holidays. Here is a Thanksgiving card I made with the Bundle. Change up the colors for a birthday or whatever occasion you need.

If you start making Christmas cards now, you will be ahead of the game and not so rushed right in the midst of the holidays. It’s already November! So get a head start, maybe make a version of this Plaid Tidings Christmas Wreath Card that is a little bit simpler. But now that you have the design it won’t be so hard to duplicate! Have fun stamping!

Arrange a Wreath Floral Wreath Give Thanks Card

Arrange a Wreath Floral Wreath Give Thanks Card

After seeing a lot of cute samples of wreath cards and receiving a birthday card from my friend using the wreath die cut, I decided I had to have this set! Finally, I got around to trying it out, and here is my fallish Arrange a Wreath Floral Wreath Give Thanks Card.

I didn’t even realize how much is included in both the Arrange a Wreath Stamp Set and Wreath Builder Dies. Of course, you can get the Arrange a Wreath Bundle and save 10% off the price of both. There are two different dies for wreaths, giving you two different looks or just two different wreaths to use separately. You get all kinds of different little items for decorating the wreaths to cover several occasions or just any occasion. The stamp set has five different greetings to use. So you are covered for just about anything with this Bundle!

For my card I chose Terracotta Tile for the card base. I seldom use these In Colors from last year but I thought Terracotta Tile might be a nice color for a fall card.

The Whisper White embossed layer I found on the table that I had made a while back just testing my new Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine with embossing folders! I thought it would work just fine as a background behind my wreath. The background is made with the Ornate Floral 3D Embossing Folder. It just adds a little bit of subtle prettiness I think!

I die cut both wreaths using two different greens – Granny Apple Green and Old Olive. I played around with which one looked better on top and finally settled on this combination. Then I stamped some flowers from the stamp set and cut them out with the dies. I chose Terracotta Tile, Pumpkin Pie, and Crushed Curry ink for the flowers. There is a die to cut a ribbon for the wreath but I decided to use a real ribbon, the Terracotta ribbon in the Ornate Garden Ribbon Combo Pack. For a little bit more embellishment I used some Holiday Rhinestones for each flower center.

The greeting is in the Arrange a Wreath Stamp Set and I stamped it in Terra Cotta Ink on Whisper White. It was die cut with a small Stitched So Sweetly Die and layered on a die-cut piece of Terracotta Cardstock in the Tasteful Labels Dies.

That’s all there is to this card! Take a peek again at the card my friend sent to me for my birthday. It’s really pretty easy and simple, but lots to play with in this stamp set and dies as I said! You will get a lot of use out of this Bundle because you can use a card with a wreath for lots of occasions.

Arrange a Wreath Happy Birthday Card

Arrange a Wreath Happy Birthday Card

I got several very nice cards for my birthday a couple of weeks ago and this Arrange a Wreath Happy Birthday Card was made by my dear, long-time friend who got me into Stampin’ Up! in the first place!

I still remember stopping by her house when we were in town to go to a wedding shower and her taking just a few minutes to show me some projects she had made at a party by this company called Stampin’ Up! that I had never heard of. I barely knew anything about rubber stamping and had not been successful in my stamping attempts with stamps from the craft store, but her projects were so cute!! She had just received her Starter Kit but hadn’t opened it yet and we didn’t have time that day anyway. When I went back later in the summer for our friend’s wedding, I got to spend time stamping with her and fell in love with it! I didn’t really want to go anywhere else or do anything else, just stay at her house and stamp or look at the cards and things she had made. A few months later, I think, I signed up to be a Demonstrator.

This card was made with the Arrange a Wreath Stamp Set and Wreath Builder Dies. You can purchase both together in a Bundle and save 10%. I have seen some really cute cards made with this Bundle so I just might have to purchase it myself someday!

The card base is Sahara Sand with a layer of designer paper. You could choose something from the In Good Taste Designer Series Paper that might look similar. The wreath is die cut with the Wreath Builder Die out of Old Olive Cardstock. Then you can diecut some flowers from the set in any colors you like to decorate the wreath She used some enamel dots for the flower centers. I think the little Happy Birthday sign hanging from he wreath is so cute!

Obviously you can use this wreath for LOTS of occasions and all the seasons of the year, making this a very versatile stamp set. I love this card!

The latest reports about Hurricane Laura are that Houston is “out of the cone” so we should just have minimal effects, maybe some bands of rain and some gusty winds. The storm will go in around the Texas-Louisiana border which is certainly bad for those people. I just hope our power stays on! We’ve been lucky through many storms but you never know when your power might go out seemingly for no reason! We were making hurricane preparations anyway when it looked like it was coming directly here, so we have batteries and candles and lanterns and a ton of chocolate chip cookies I baked last night!

Take a look at the Arrange a Wreath Bundle for your next Stampin’ Up! order. You’ll find it in the Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog on page 127 with the dies on page 173. Don’t forget to use your Bonus Coupons from July by August 31 when they expire.
