Last night was the moment to spend some relaxing time making my January 2026 Paper Pumpkin Kit, Special Delivery. Paper Pumpkin is the monthly treat you get in your mailbox when you subscribe! Usually, the kit is for making cards, but sometimes it is something different. This kit even had a specially designed box that is worth saving. The pretty boxes are nice for storage, and we all have plenty of supplies that need storing! While this kit came with Valentine stamps (mostly), the cards are just pretty ones that you could send any time.
I always love opening up the box with everything wrapped in tissue paper and all the supplies sealed up. Then you get to open that package and see what goodies you got to make the project. Adhesive is even included! Usually it is dimensionals and sticky strip tape. Sometimes you get sparkly gems to use as embellishments. Each kit comes with an exclusive stamp set and ink spot. I tend to save my ink spots and use my regular ink pads. There is even a video you can watch to see the whole process from unboxing to assembling the cards or project, if you want a little extra help besides the printed instructions.
Paper Pumpkin is a kit that comes to you in the mail and there is no risk or obligation. Just go into your account after you subscribe and you can skip a month or cancel your subscription any time by the 10th of any month before the next kit gets billed and sent out. It’s good for beginning crafters or those who just like to get a project already planned out and all the supplies in one box!

I always say having a Paper Pumpkin monthly subscription from Stampin’ Up! is a gift you give yourself! When I get my kit, it already looks like a gift when I open up the box and see the supplies wrapped up in colored tissue paper! Then I open up the supply package like it’s Christmas and see what all is included! In the photo above , you can see what I discovered when I opened everything for the September 2025 Kit, Fall For Toile! You get the card bases, envelopes with decorated flaps, diecuts, stamp set, ink spot, ribbon, and adhesives! I don’t think I even needed a scissors!
This was a set of nine cards for fall, 3 each of 3 designs. All the kits are easy enough for anyone to make. You get pictorial directions plus you can watch a video, which I usually like to do regardless. The directions show you where to put the adhesive on each piece and what kind of adhesive, which, again, is included in the kit. I would say this kit was really easy to make. Just some easy stamping on the diecut pieces for two of the greetings and some acorns for another decorative piece, a little ribbon to add to three of the cards, and the rest was just adhering the diecuts to each card. These are beautiful cards to send to friends and loved ones for fall or even Thanksgiving.
The top left card was the most “difficult”. It was fun stamping leaves around the edges of the card. I always like doing that random stamping! Then I had to placed the two diecut leaf groupings together, plus the foil-accented dark leaves on the card, all popped up on Dimensionals. Then the stamped greeting and ribbon adhered to the back was adhered over the intersection of the leaves.
The top right card is the first one I made. The card base already has that pretty toile background on it (also on the backside of the card!). The greeting was already printed, I only stamped the cute pair of acorns. The tree and frame are a diecut popped up on dimensionals.
The bottom card was the very easiest. I stamped the little birds in the corner of the cornfield and adhered it to the card base with Dimensionals. The pumpkins and fox are all diecuts and popped up also. The greeting is stamped and popped up. Nothing could be easier to make!
You, too, could get in on the fun of Paper Pumpkin Kits by subscribing before October 10th. For October you will receive a Kit to make Christmas cards that have flocked pieces to decorate the cards. For November, your Kit will make small goodie boxes perfect for the holidays to present a gift card or small gift or treat. Personally, I like the holiday kits the best, but then I love holidays of all kinds!
When you become a subscriber, besides getting the kit in the mail every month, you also have the option to purchase any past kits that are available, refills (which do not include the stamp set or ink spot, but otherwise have all the same supplies), and some add-ons like small dies that you can use to enhance your cards and projects or use any time. If you like a past kit but only see a refill, you can probably make use of that even without the stamp set and ink spot that would come in the full kit. For example, this fall kit I am showing has already been mailed out to subscribers, but once you subscribe, perhaps the “refill” kit will still be available, as it is as I write this, and you can just use some of your own stamps and ink to make the cards. Then your first kit will come in the mail, Cozy Christmas, right after October 10th.
And you can always use your supplies any way you like! Lots of alternatives are always posted online as soon as people get their kits and start creating. For example, with this month’s kit, with the card bases printed on both the front and the back, you could cut the two sides apart and make twice as many cards by adhering the printed part of the kit card to your own cardstock base. You can change it up however you like. Sometimes I make some of the cards as designed and then make my own alternatives. It just depends on what you like to do. If you are a beginner, at first you will probably just want to follow the directions for the fun of crafting. As you get more experienced, you might like to make the projects a little bit different – maybe add your own greeting instead or add your own embellishments if you have some.
To join Paper Pumpkin, just click the link below. No risk, no obligation to continue for any length of time. Stampin’ Up! guarantees every kit, so if you have a problem, just let them know. You can even skip a month if necessary or if the hint of the upcoming project doesn’t appeal to you. It used to be a total surprise what would come in the kit, but now we get somewhat of a hint, which I am happy about. Subscriber or reactivate a previous account you had, by October 10th! The 10th of the month is the date to always remember if you want to make any changes to your account as that is the date the current subscription ends and on the 11th the new kit comes out. It’s easy to go into your account and skip a month, or heaven forbid, cancel! I hope you will try out Paper Pumpkin and enjoy some pre-planned crafting with all the supplies right there in your box! And wrapped up in tissue paper like a gift!!

My April 2025 Paper Pumpkin Kit, Inked Occasions, surprisingly was delivered to me on Saturday before Easter! I guess I hadn’t kept up with the tracking and it must have been delivered in the morning by the “package” mail truck because our regular mail came later in the day or evening (!) as is the usual schedule. I was looking forward to this kit becauses I’ve seen this kind of artwork and thought it was interesting and beautiful. When I opened the Paper Pumpkin box, I gasped out loud because the card bases were so stunning with all the colors and the gold accents! It would be fun to actually create the art you see printed on the cards myself, but on the other hand, just making these Paper Pumpkin cards from the kit was WAY easier and less messy! Sometimes you just want to enjoy “easy” and that’s what Paper Pumpkin provides – Just open the box and make the cards or project. No hunting around for all your supplies or thinking up the design in the first place!
In the photo at the top of the page are the three card bases and the extra diecuts to embellish the cards. All I had to do was fold those card bases in half on the score line and then add the design elements according to the directions. Usually I watch the video that is available for each kit but this time I did not. I just dove right in to this Paper Pumpkin Kit rather than setting it aside and then not getting around to making it pretty promptly. That’s how you end up with a stack of Paper Pumpkin Kits that haven’t been made yet even though you really wanted to make them!
This is a closeup of one of the card base designs and a peek at the gold foil words to place on one of the cards. This coloring is just gorgeous!
Here are the other two card bases in the kit. One has the bright colors and the edge of the card on the right side of the photo has the lighter colors in the same style. Once you get the kit in your mailbox, you can do with it what you want! Follow the directions and make the cards as designed. Or strike out on your own and do something different with the supplies! This kit in particular would be easy to cut the card bases in half and use those halves as the layer on another card base from card stock you already have and get twice as many cards! You would need to add your own envelopes of course. And before I forget to mention, the envelopes in this kit have these artistic designs on the corner of the envelope!
And finally, here is the photo of my finished cards! I changed the greetings on some of them to be something I might be more likely to use.
If you would like to have the fun and excitement of receiving your own Paper Pumpkin Kit in the mail, just subscribe HERE by May 10th to get the May 2025 Kit, Mountain Majesties. It is a card kit with a masculine theme. Perfect for Father’s Day and other occasions. But women like mountain scenery too so I don’t see that it is just “masculine”. It’s just that we often find it a little harder to make cards for men, and things in the craft world in general, so when we find something that really works for men, we tend to call it “masculine”. And once you are a Paper Pumpkin subscriber, you can check out the past kits and refills (refills have all the materials but not the stamp set or ink spot). Any extra kits that Stampin’ Up! has left over will be put online for sale at a certain time after that kit goes out to subscribers.
Here is the new Paper Pumpkin Kit for May, the Mountain Majesties Paper Pumpkin Kit! You will find it in your mailbox the middle of next month if you subscribe by May 10th! What did I do on a beautiful second day of spring yesterday?! Of course, I worked on a Christmas Paper Pumpkin Kit from 2024! It’s the Filled With Joy November 2024 Paper Pumpkin Kit that I did not get around to making before the holidays! I just had some free time and I thought of two kits that I had wanted to work on and they were just taking up space in my head. I simply said I’m stopping the world and doing these kits! So now instead of being behind for Christmas 2024, I’m AHEAD for Christmas 2025!
This Filled With Joy Kit was pretty quick and easy to make. I just had to stamp the tags, turn down the collar of the stocking, and pin on the tag! The kit came with the cute little pins! A stamp set is included with every Paper Pumpkin Kit so I used that to stamp the tags and the ornaments. Then I just had to adhere the gold ornament top on the ornament and add Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back to adhere to the tags. I’ll save them for next year and either use them for little gifts or make them decorations for a Christmas meal.
I also had this Christmas Ornament wreath kit from the Kits Collection sitting on my desk since Christmas! I DID make these cute little wreaths on the gold rings and even put some as tags on gift bags. But then I saw another Demonstrator, Linda Heller, jazz them up a bit with some gold paint on the leaves and white paint for snow on the pinecones. I wanted to do that on the rest of them so I finally got that done yesterday and put the box in the closet with the Christmas gift wrap and things.
I had to do a little digging to see if I had some acrylic gold paint and I did in all my craft stuff. At least my paints are somewhat organized by color. I just put some gold paint on a brush and lightly streaked it on the leaves on the wreath. It really did add a little to the leaves to make them look a little less like paper. Then I switched to white paint and just dabbed on some “snow” on the little plastic pinecones. I found some glitter in my craft stuff and shook a little bit of that over the white paint. These were just little, easy embellishments I did to these wreaths and I thought they added a lot! I also added some of the Drusy Embellishments for a little sparkle on all of the wreaths. It was something relaxing to do on a spring afternoon! (Although my rockhounding family members would tell you it should be spelled Druzy!) I added those after I took the photo though!
Whenever you get around to making your Paper Pumpkin Kits or the kits you purchased in the Stampin’ Up! Kits Collection, it doesn’t matter! No matter when you make them it will be a relaxing, enjoyable experience! I think they are especially good to make on a weekend or on a rainy day!
As soon as the previous month’s Paper Pumpkin Kit goes out, we see the next one and here it is! For April 2025 the new Paper Pumpkin Kit is the Inked Occasions Kit! I’ve been fascinated with this kind of alcohol ink”painting” but haven’t tried it. With this Inked Occasions Kit you can make beautiful cards without doing all the paint work! And what about that decorative box!!! I think it’s a must-have!

It was a rainy Sunday afternoon yesterday so the perfect time to get out my January 2025 Paper Pumpkin Kit, Hearts For You. If you aren’t already a Paper Pumpkin subscriber and you didn’t get this kit in the mail maybe a week ago and you’ve GOT to have it, I can help you out a little bit on that! Stay tuned!
The weekend always seems like a good time to work on a Paper Pumpkin Kit. It certainly was a good time to work on this kit and get a bunch of Valentines made instead of at the last minute! If you aren’t familiar with Paper Pumpkin, it is a monthly subscription program for creative success! Paper Pumpkin subscription kits are designed for anyone who wants to quickly and easily achieve beautiful, handcrafted projects—anytime and anywhere! You’ll get a new project every month—one that’s great for all types of crafters. Inside the box and the pretty tissue paper, you’ll find a pre-designed, pre-cut paper crafting project. Everything is ready to stamp and assemble. The only thing you might need is a scissors. The kit even comes with adhesives! And anyone can make these projects, whatever they are!
In the photo above, you see I have opened up my box and the packages inside with all the supplies, have the directions out, and the exclusive stamp set. Your first kit will come with an acrylic block for mounting the stamps. Every kit also comes with one ink spot. I usually hoard mine and use my regular ink pad but the 1″ ink spots don’t take up hardly any space! There is always a video of the assembly of the project that you can watch, and I do like to watch it, but the pictorial directions in the box are easy to follow. It tells you exactly where to put the adhesive and how long the string or ribbon should be, etc.
Of course, you can always “go rogue” and make your own creations with the supplies you are given in the kit. There are always alternate designs you can find online using the kit.
Here are the three designs of the finished cards! You also get matching envelopes and in this kit, foil hearts to seal the envelope flap!
It was funny, when I made my first card (which is the second card in the top row), I stamped the hearts and greeting, tied on the twine, glued that piece to the marbled card base and I thought “Well, this card is okay but it lacks some pizzazz!” Then I realized I hadn’t added all the “things” yet!! There was the champagne foil outline of a heart, a smaller champagne foil heart, and the large Flirty Flamingo diecut heart with the foil accents. I added those things and then discovered there were also tiny little heart gem embellishments!! Once I actually completed the card with all the intended supplies, I thought it was beautiful for a valentine!
The second card I made was the bottom one in the photo. That card had a really creative background – lines of attached small white hearts! All I had to do, thought, was put the dimensionals on the back of each row, punch them out and adhere to the very faint guidelines shown on each card base. It went perfectly smoothly adhering all those rows of hearts! Then it was just a matter of adhering the two diecut hearts one layered on another, adding the foil word “Love” and stamping the little banner to put below the word Love. To complete it, I just added a twine bow.
The very first card in the photo was probably the easiest except for adding the dimensionals to the back of the foil heart so they wouldn’t show! But the directions showed how to cut one of the dimensionals in half to make them smaller. It worked fine.
All three cards for Valentine’s Day are very pretty and were fun to make! If you would like to get this kit, this is how you can do it. First of all, you must subscribe to Paper Pumpkin to purchase any extra full kits that are available or the refill kits. In this case, it looks like there is a Hearts For You Paper Pumpkin Refill that is available. With the refill kit, you will not get the ink spot and you will not get the exclusive stamp set. But if you have any stamps in your stash, you probably have an assortment of heart stamps and greetings that you could use on these cards, and if not, you can draw your own hearts with a red marker or red pencil or cut some out of red paper. You can write your own Valentine message on the banners with a marker or pen if you don’t have appropriate stamps. Just be creative! Actually, the only stamping you would need to do would be the card with all the hearts and on the greetings. And even if you omitted the greeting, the cards would still look pretty on their own!
If you are interested, subscribe to Paper Pumpkin and then order the Refill right away so it doesn’t sell out. It will count toward your Sale-A-Bration total as well! Once you subscribe, if Paper Pumpkin is not for you, then simply go into your account and cancel, or skip a month. It’s easy and no risk or obligation.
If you are already a subscriber and you’d like another kit or two to make more valentines, just order this Hearts For You Refill Kit right away!
