Fresh As a Daisy Hello Card

Fresh As a Daisy Hello Card

If you like a quick and easy card, this one is it! The pretty designer paper with the daisies is part of a panel of all different designs on one sheet of paper. All you have to do is cut it apart and make it into a card.

This Fresh As a Daisy Designer Series Paper has been a favorite the past year that we have had it in the Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog. But now it is time for it to retire, although the Cheerful Daisies Stamp Set and Dies are returning to the new catalog! If you want the Bundle, order it before the catalog retires and save 10%.

For this card, I made the card base Boho Blue, the In Color from last year, so it will be sticking around another year. Under the designer paper panel, I added a layer of Basic White which helps it stand out a little bit with the white flowers.

Before adhering the designer paper to the layer of Basic White, adhere a piece of the Boho Blue Ribbon around the lower portion. I tied a separate bow and adhered it with a couple of Mini Glue Dots.

The greeting is stamped from the Irresistible Blooms Stamp Set. It is cut out with a die in the Something Fancy Dies. This little hexagon shape fit perfectly. For a little interest, I used a Light Boho Blue Stampin’ Blend Marker to add some dotted lines around the edge of the shape since there is not layer to help it stand out. It is popped up on Stampin’ Dimensionals.

That’s all there is to that card! Very pretty with very little effort! Let the designer paper do the work!

Irresistible Blooms Hello Card in Flirty Flamingo

The other day I made a card exactly like this Irresistible Blooms Hello Card in Flirty Flamingo except in Lemon Lime Twist. I was SO happy with it after I made it that I wanted to make another one right away but in another color. I usually like a card after I make it or I wouldn’t even put it on my blog, but for some reason, this card design caught my eye!

The card base is Basic White but you could also use the same cardstock color as whatever designer paper you are using. In this case, I used the Flirty Flamingo patterned paper in the Brights 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper. I chose the hearts pattern and the polka dots and cut each sheet at 5 1/4″ x 4″. Then I cut each one in half diagonally. When you do this, be sure to look at the pattern in case it is going in a certain direction.

The flowers and leaves are stamped with Flirty Flamingo ink on Basic White with the Irresistible Blooms Stamp Set. Then those images were diecut with the Irresistible Blooms Dies. Purchase both the stamp set and dies together in the Irresistible Blooms Bundle and save 10%!

Just place the flowers and leaves around and see what arrangement you like best. You can pop up some of the flowers with Stampin’ Dimensionals as I did with one large flower and one small. Plan ahead to see where you are going to slide the leaves underneath the flowers so you don’t glue down the flowers completely to the edge. Or adhere the leaves to the flowers first before adhering to the card.

The “hello” greeting is in the Irresistible Blooms Stamp Set and is diecut with a small circle in the Stylish Shapes Dies.

Here is the original card I made in Lemon Lime Twist.

Also, notice the little sparkle on the card! I just had to use the Iridescent Rhinestone Basic Jewels randomly on the flowers and card.

Which one do you like better? It would be fun to make a card with each color in the Brights DSP!

Hello, Irresistible Hello Card

Sometimes all you have to do is spy one of your scraps to get a card idea! That’s how this Hello, Irresistible Hello Card came about. I spotted a diecut scrap and was going to use the other side of this piece of designer paper, but when I turned the paper over, I decided to use this floral side instead! So you never know what you might come up with!

I used the Hello, Irresistible 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper on the front of this card. You might miss this paper because it is not in the new Annual Catalog. It is one of the Online Exclusives in the Online Store. The important thing is it is one of the select papers on the Stampin’ Up! Designer Paper Sale going on right now during the entire month of June! The whole package of 48 sheets of paper is very pretty. It has digitally hand drawn botanical and floral images plus color washes.

The card base is Flirty Flamingo. I decided to make the designer paper the full length of the card and center it so it is cut at 5 1/2″ x 2 3/4″. I thought it would be pretty to put a layer of Basic White cardstock behind it to accent the white images of the flowers, but I made it narrow. It is cut at 5 1/2″ x 3″.

Before adhering anything, I wrapped a piece of the pink ribbon in the Ribbon Duo Combo Pack around the bottom of the designer paper. I put it pretty low so as not to cover up the flowers. I tied a little bow separately and adhered it to the ribbon with a Mini Glue Dot. Then I assembled the card.

The greeting is stamped in Flirty Flamingo ink on Basic White from the Irresistible Blooms Stamp Set and diecut with a banner die in the Stylish Shapes Dies. Since I didn’t want the banner as long as it was, I tried an idea I saw recently. I cut off the ends of the banner and put Stampin’ Dimensionals on the back of the greeting. Don’t put them all the way to the ends so you have space. After adhering the greeting, I put Multipurpose Liquid Glue on the backs of the two end pieces I had cut off and adhered them flat on the card but slid underneath the popped-up greeting a little bit. That shortens the whole thing and just gives a little different look to your card!

Sometimes I don’t think about adding some sparkly jewels to my card until after I take the photo, but you certainly could add some Iridescent Rhinestone Basic Jewels to this card! That would be very pretty!

Hello, Irresistible Slimline Floral Card

Hello, Irresistible Slimline Floral Card

Get excited for some new products coming March 1, 2023 from Stampin’ Up! This card is made with new designer paper and a stamp set. These new products (and more!) will be “Online Exclusives” meaning that they will not appear in a catalog but you can view them and order them in the Online Store, while supplies last!

This Hello, Irresistible 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper made me think of making a slimline card. It just seemed like the floral pattern would fit nicely on a card made 3 1/4″ x 6 1/4″. I chose that exact size because it would fit in a regular envelope.

The card base is Basic White Cardstock cut at 6 1/2″ x 6 1/4″ and scored in half at 3 1/4″ to make the card. The designer paper is cut at 6″ x 3″. I added a layer of Flirty Flamingo on top of the card base. It is cut just a bit narrower than the card base at 3 1/8″x 6 1/8″. I think it helps to add to the beauty of the designer paper. I love this pattern of paper which looks like the flowers are all stamped or embossed in white.

The greeting is in the Irresistible Blooms Stamp Set. I stamped it in Flirty Flamingo Ink and die cut with one of the Stitched Rectangle Dies. I first thought I would put it up near the top of the card, but then I didn’t like it in that position so I moved it to the bottom over some White 1/4″ Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon. It is popped up on Stampin’ Dimensionals. Normally I would put the bow at the bottom of the greeting, but in this case, it covered up the greeting and I just kind of liked placing it at the top for a change! I also added a few Iridescent Rhinestone Basic Jewels for a little sparkle to the card.

One interesting thing about this designer series paper is the coordinating colors. Two of them are Lost Lagoon and Pretty Peacock! If you have been around Stampin’ Up! for a while you might remember those colors. Pull them out of your stash if you have the cardstock and ink! Also on March 1st something is going to be announced about colors! So stay tuned!
