Encircled In Beauty You’re the Best Card

Encircled In Beauty You're the Best Card

This Encircled In Beauty You’re the Best Card is made with the Encircled in Beauty Dies which are retiring on May 2, 2022. They are such pretty dies I can’t believe they are leaving! You can use one or more die cuts for the card front. There are several to choose from of different sizes in the package.

The card base is Basic White. I originally thought I would use Granny Apple Green but it seemed like too much. The designer paper, this Granny Apple Green floral page, is from the Host Stampin’ Reward that has been available in this current catalog. It is called Pattern Party Designer Series Paper and was available if you had purchased at least $150 on your order for the cost of $18. However, there is something similar in the new catalog called Design a Daydream Designer Series Paper. The catalog description is incorrect. The catalog states the quantities of Design a Daydream 12″ x 12″ Host Designer Series Paper as 12 sheets: 2 each of 6 double-sided designs. This is incorrect. The correct quantities are 48 sheets: 4 each of 12 double-sided designs. I loved my Pattern Party Designer Paper so I’m looking forward to the new designer paper for a Host order.

Using the Enriched In Beauty Dies I cut out a Basic White larger one and a smaller Daffodil Delight and layered them. I also used a retired 1 1/2″ Circle Punch to make a Basic White center. I actually thought it kind of looked like a fancy flower and I almost added a stem and leaves to make it look like a flower!

The ribbon is the White Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon that I used for a bow, but I colored it first with a Dark Daffodil Stampin’ Blends Marker. Just make sure you have scrap paper underneath the ribbon because the color is likely to bleed through to the other side. I tied the bow and adhered it to the card with a Glue Dot.

Since the Genial Gems are retiring (also discounted!), I used a few of those up by the greeting and around on the card. The greeting is stamped from the Encircled in Friendship Stamp Set, which is retired and no longer available apparently.

Check out the Last Chance List in the Stampin’ Up! Online Store before more products disappear! As I write this the fancy Enriched in Beauty Dies are still available and then you can use them with a variety of other products. Here is a card I made previously with the die set and stamps that might give you another idea.

Encircled In Friendship Easter Card

Encircled In Friendship Easter Card

This Encircled In Friendship Bundle of stamp set and dies was one of the prettiest sets, I thought, yet I didn’t use it quite enough and now it is retiring in May. The stamp set is already gone, but the Encircled in Beauty Dies are still available as I write this and that’s really the main thing you need to make a card similar to my Encircled in Friendship Easter Card. The flowers in the center were in the stamp set, but you can stamp any flowers, image, or greeting to put in the center of the beautiful die.

The card base is Basic White with a layer of Polished Pink, one of the current In Colors. These colors are sticking around for another year! I decided to emboss the Polished Pink with the Ornate Floral 3D Embossing Folder. This folder is retiring on May 2 and I recommend it as a pretty and useful folder for a background with a little texture you can use frequently. Lucky for you, it is also discounted on the Last Chance Products Sale! So check it out!

The fancy circle die is cut from Basic White with one of the Encircled in Beauty Dies. For the center portion, I stamped the flowers in the Encircled in Friendship Stamp Set (retired) in Polished Pink. You could also stamp them in Memento Ink or Stazon and color them in with Stampin’ Blends markers or any coloring tool. I thought I would like to have a special layer behind this floral circle, so I die cut with a Layering Circles die that was just a little bit smaller than the center of the die and then a larger circle out of Gold Foil. My fancy die was already cut out or I could have used the center of it.

The greeting, in the Celebrating You Stamp Set, was also stamped in Polished Pink ink and die cut with this cute die in the Meadows Dies. I had also die cut a little banner die in the Tasteful Labels Dies (another product I use frequently and will miss when it retires but it is discounted now!) to see which shape greeting I would like best with the fancy die cut above. I thought the Meadows Die would be too much but I liked it!

For a finishing touch, I tied a bow with the White 3/8″ Glittered Organdy Ribbon. When I pulled this ribbon out to try, I wasn’t sure it would work but once I placed the bow under the circle I loved how it looked! Being sheer is didn’t overpower the front of the card but I thought the pink glitter in the ribbon was perfect for an Easter card. This wouldn’t have to be an Easter card. The greeting on the front is generic so could be for almost anything, but on the inside, I stamped “Happy Easter” from the same Celebrating You Stamp Set.

Here’s another card I made with this Bundle. On that card, I used another fancy die as a layer under the stamped flowers, so you can use one or more of the pretty dies!

If you already own the Encircled in Beauty Dies, make some cards with the fancy dies. I would recommend using Adhesive Sheets on the back of your paper before die-cutting to make gluing them down easier. Otherwise, just use teeny tiny dots of Liquid Glue on the back, preferably using your Silicone Craft Sheet to keep the glue off everything else. If you don’t already own these pretty dies, take a look at them in the Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog on pages 70 and 169. Use this Encircled in Friendship Easter Card for Easter or for other special occasions!

Encircled in Beauty Christmas Card

Encircled in Beauty Christmas Card

Don’t forget to think of the Encircled in Beauty Dies when it comes to making Christmas cards, as I used in this Encircled in Beauty Christmas Card. We also have the Encircled in Warmth Stamp Set with wonderful greetings for the holidays. There are so many pretty possibilities!

This card is relatively easy to make. The card base is Blushing Bride with a layer of Basic White Cardstock. I used the Encircled in Beauty Die to cut out the doily image but I did not use the outer die to cut out the whole image from the Basic White paper. Instead, I used the “negative” image left in the paper as the focal point, removing the center circle that was die cut. Next, I embossed the paper just for some texture with the Ornate Floral 3D Embossing Folder.

I layered this die-cut and embossed piece of Basic White on the Blushing Bride while I decided how to finish off the card. I decided to use the greeting in the Encircled in Warmth Stamp Set. It is stamped in Blushing Bride ink and die cut with one of the Stitched Rectangle Dies.

While looking at the beautiful Whimsy & Wonder Designer Series Paper I thought of cutting out one of the ornaments on the paper with Paper Snips and using it in the center of the doily image. I used a piece of the silver metallic thread from the Flowers For Every Season Ribbon Combo Pack. You could use any other kind of twine or ribbon. I wanted something very thin.

I popped up the Basic White die cut piece with Stampin’ Dimensionals® and also the ornament to look like it was hanging inside the empty circle. Then the greeting was adhered flat on the card front with Stampin’ Seal.

You will find the Encircled in Beauty Dies in the Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog and you will find the Encircled in Warmth Stamp Set in the Holiday Mini Catalog. I think it might be easy to forget about these stamps and dies but they will make beautiful and unique cards, for Christmas and other occasions using the Encircled in Friendship Stamp Set also.

It’s time to plan your Christmas cards and gather your supplies to get a start on your holiday preparations! If you already own these Encircled in Beauty Dies, be sure to pull them out and use this Encircled in Beauty Christmas Card for some inspiration.

Encircled In Friendship Monochromatic Card

Encircled In Friendship Monochromatic Card

This Encircled In Friendship Monochromatic Card was my first attempt using this stamp set and dies, available as a Bundle in the new Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog. I wasn’t coming up with good ideas of what colors I wanted to use for this card, so making a monochromatic card was the answer! Plus I saw this designer paper and loved it!

This card has the fold at the top and opens at the bottom for something different. You still come out with the same size card, you just cut the full sheet of cardstock in half lengthwise instead of horizontally. The cardstock is Blushing Bride Cardstock. The layer is a piece of designer paper from the Hand-Penned Designer Series Paper.

Next I die-cut different designs of the Encircled In Beauty Dies in both Basic White and Blushing Bride pink. I wasn’t sure what order I would like them or how they fit together but I was pretty sure I wanted to overlay one with another. I cut an assortment in both colors to be able to see in real life how they would look. The flowers in the center are stamped in Blushing Bride ink (saves from needing to color in!) and comes out of the center of one of the dies. Stamp them with the Encircled in Friendship Stamp Set. You can buy both the stamp set and dies in the Encircled in Friendship Bundle and save 10%.

The greeting is actually just a few words from a longer greeting in one of the stamp sets! I used my Blushing Bride Stampin’ Write Marker to carefully color just those words on the stamp and stamped it on a scrap piece of Basic White. Then after fiddling with a couple different dies and messing something up each time, I finally got it die cut with a small die in the Ornate Frames Dies. If you try stamping something like this with just coloring certain words with a marker and it doesn’t come out perfectly, try using the narrow tip end of the marker to very lightly and carefully go over the word or image….or use your Stamparatus in the first place!

If you wanted to embellish this card a bit, maybe you could tie a small white bow with twine or our narrow Whisper White Crinkled Ribbon and adhere it somewhere on the card, maybe just off to the side at the bottom of the circle with the stamped flowers, off to the side. Just a little something but nothing to take away from the card itself since you want to show off those diecut fancy circles.
