Don’t Forget the Stampin’ Up! Designer Paper Sale Ending July 31!

Don’t forget that the Stampin’ Up! Designer Paper Sale is ending July 31, and by golly, that is in just a couple of days! How can that be?? Here’s one more reminder about it so you don’t miss out! This sale is Buy 3 Get 1 FREE, so basically you are getting 4 packages of paper. Order 3 and then the 4th package will be free. You can get multiples of the same paper or all different. It’s not every designer paper, but rather select papers. However, you are sure to find some that you should have in your stash for the new catalog!

I personally have several favorites! The Petal Promenade is the photographic image kind of paper. Stampin’ Up! went outside, picked some pretty flowers, made some bouquets and took pictures! Then graphic designers turned the photos into designer series paper. It is really beautiful! And I loved finding out how it was made!

The Garden Impressions 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper is actually a paper stack. Pretty designs in easy to cut up sizes to make cards or other sizes. If you hate to cut up your 12″ x 12″ designer paper, I think these smaller versions make it easier to handle!

My newest favorite is the Animal Expedition Designer Series Paper!

Even if you don’t have young kids around, you might have them somewhere in your life! And even if you do or you don’t, these animal designs are so darn cute, you will find plenty of uses for this paper! They can be for adults as well and might be especially good sometimes for a “masculine” card. I would think teenagers and young adults would think the paper was cute without being too “cutesy” and “childish”. You have to see this paper in person. I didn’t even order it right away, but when I did, I loved it in person!

I think you can use the paper on its own, even without the stamps and dies. I’m not sure I can hold out without the stamp set, but I do have the paper and have plenty of plans for it! You can use punches and your other dies to separate out some of the animals without having the exact dies. But in case you want it all, you can get the Animal Outing Bundle and save 10%!

During July and August, you just may be able to save a little bit of money while enjoying stamping! Here are a couple specials you may have heard of and one more new thing just out today.

Yesterday I went into a craft store and was quite surprised to see pumpkins and fall things out on the shelves! I shouldn’t have been surprised, especially in a craft store, because crafters have to get started early for craft shows and things coming up in the fall. Today at the grocery store I noticed it is “Back to School” time already with lunch bags and school supplies on display! So even though I think summer just got rolling, it probably is only about a month until some schools start back again! Something that usually goes along with the start of school nowadays is Sales Tax Holidays, usually for school clothing, shoes, and school supplies.

Today Stampin’ Up! posted information about the Sales Tax Holidays in some states, mostly in August. Amazingly, some of our Stampin’ Up! products do count as school supplies so you might be able to save a few pennies anyway if your state has a tax holiday. You’ll have to click on the photo and probably zoom in to read this. It’s very small print. Your state will have more information when the time comes.Click to read!

4th of July Candy Treat Pouch

If you are having a party or just want a little treat for your family or co-workers at the office, make these 4th of July Candy Treat Pouches. They are easy to make and you can decorate them however you like! It’s really just origami in making the pouch!

I used a sheet of the In Color 2018-2020 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper for each pouch. This 6″ x 6″ size makes a pretty small pouch, so if you want to put very much candy inside, you might want to use a 9″ x 9″ piece of designer paper or even cardstock. (It’s a good way to use up some of your retired designer paper if you are hoarding it for a special occasion!!) You could even make a big one at 12″ x 12″!

Fold the paper square in half to form a triangle. Place the base of the triangle at the bottom, and fold down the top point to just about 1″ from the bottom edge. Then fold down the front layer of the point just as a guide. Take the point on the right side and fold it over to the left side, but not all the way, so that it will fit underneath that point you folded down from the top. Later you will fold that point down to stay, but for now, just make sure folding that point from the right will fit under it. Then take the point on the left side and fold it over toward the right side. Now fold the front piece of that point at the top down. Tack it down with a little Snail or Glue Dot. Stick your hand inside to just poof it out a bit and it feels like everything locks in place when you do that!

For the 4th of July, I just used the patriotic colors of red, white, and blue….except the red is Lovely Lipstick and the blue is Blueberry Bushel! To decorate my pouches, I die cut the star from the Wood Crate Framelit Dies. I have to say Stampin’ Up! has done a good job of getting rid of our star punches and dies but I managed to find one in the Wood Crate dies as I said! Stars are SO useful I don’t know what we don’t have some good assortments that we have had in the past! The word “Celebrate” for the holiday is from the Itty Bitty Greetings Stamp Set.

For the candy, I always love decorating chocolate nuggets with designer paper. It really just takes a 1″ x 3″ (or 3 1/4″) strip to wrap around the candy. Be sure not to get adhesive on the candy itself!!

If you didn’t get my June newsletter, here’s what you missed! On the first Tuesday of every month, I send out a newsletter to my mailing list subscribers with the latest Stampin’ Up! news and updates, and a variety of papercrafting and stamping projects – cards, techniques, scrapbook page idea, other projects! You can see in the collage above there was a mention of the brand new Stampin’ Up! Catalog and some of the new products featured in four project tutorials. These tutorials include a supply list and instructions so you can create the same or similar project on your own! I had also included some special news about the June Paper Pumpkin Kit, and an article about how my new ink pads fit in my Color Caddy! I also had a beautiful scrapbook page featured. To Do Checklist For Last Two Days of Stampin’ Up! Catalog!

Today and tomorrow are the last two days of the current Stampin’ Up! Catalog! Remember how excited we were when this catalog came out??! There were such happy colors on the cover with the Naturally Eclectic Suite of stamps, paper and dies. And now a year has passed and we are ready for a brand new catalog!

Don’t forget! The Occasions Catalog ends on the same day, May 31! Some products, of course, are carrying over to the new catalog.

Stampin’ Up! discounted a few retiring products, so check the list!

As long as you are ordering, always check the Clearance Rack just in case there is a great bargain that you want!

The Share What You Love Suite is in the new catalog but the products are not bundled together like they are now during May! Each Bundle has at least one free gift. If you want these products, check out the Bundles before May 31 and get free gift(s).

You can order the new In Color Ink Pads right now in the new style of ink pad!

Join Paper Pumpkin by June 10th, just because! Just because it’s fun to get the box in the mail and have a project ready to make! In June, Stampin’ Up! is coordinating the kit with a new Suite that you might like to purchase from the new catalog to make even more projects! (Notice the theme??) The Suite will be revealed June 1st.

Stampin’ Blends (in CURRENT COLORS ONLY) are now restocked in the Online Store! Type Blends in the Search Box to get to the page or click HERE. The whole Collection in one set is not available so you will have to type in the numbers, but there is no price difference! New colors will probably not be available until mid-June in the new catalog.

We are past the date that Stampin’ Up! will make MORE stamps if they sell out, so check the retiring stamps for a true last-chance!

All BUNDLES are retiring from the old catalog because new Bundles are coming in the new catalog! Some products in the Bundles now will carry over to the new catalog but will not be bundled and discounted, so if you want the 10% discount on any current Bundles, order them now.

A Quick and Easy Thank You Card

If you want to make a Quick and Easy Thank You Card, here is a very simple one! Or you can use this design, of course, for any kind of card. In this card, I am showcasing the Share What You Love Bundle that is available now for customers until May 31. These products will be in the new catalog separately, but if you would like one of the Bundles and a free gift(s) with each Bundle, you must order before the new catalog goes live.

Now I, of course, chose the Gotta Have It All Bundle! Shouldn’t that actually be a slogan for all of us stampers?! The card base is Mint Macaron and with a layer of the Share What You Love Specialty Designer Series Paper. I used the opposite side of the pearlized pattern, but it’s what spoke to me today! The little tag comes in the Share What You Love Embellishment Kit. The ribbon is new, the beautiful Rich Razzleberry 1/4″ Velvet Ribbon, and I ran it through the sides of the tag. The greeting is stamped in Rich Razzleberry Ink with a stamp from the Love What You Do Stamp Set. I suppose I could embellish the card even more, but I was keeping it a quick and easy card. Not everything we make needs to be a masterpiece, so remember that when you make a card. The recipient will love “simple” just as much as “elegant”. Sometimes “simple” IS “elegant”!

There are two other Bundles you can choose from, the Just Getting Started Bundle, good for the newer crafter probably and the A Little More Please Bundle, with…..a little more! Click on the links to see all the details. Remember, you get a free gift(s) with each Bundle so check them out and see if that is something you want! As I said, the entire Share What You Love Suite is in the new catalog and will be available June 1st, the products just will be sold separately rather than in the Bundles.

Time is starting to get short! It is amazing how fast April and half of May have flown by to me! Now we are in the last two weeks of the current Stampin’ Up! Catalog and (don’t forget) the Occasions Catalog! It’s time for you to peruse both catalogs and see what products you want before they are gone on June 1st when the new catalog goes live!

Some products have sold out and are listed as “Discontinued”. They are GONE and you can’t order them any more. Here is a list that is current as of an hour ago this morning but it could change in five minutes if something else sells out. The best way to know what is still available is to go straight to the Online Store and shop in the Last-Chance Products category, and if it is there, you can order it! It’s better than looking at the retirement list, but you can always put in the product number and search and see if it comes up anywhere. If so, you can order it!

What a fun surprise to wake up this morning and find out that Stampin’ Up! has discounted some of the Last-Chance retiring products!

Look through the Stampin’ Up! Online Store under Last Chance products, especially under “Everything Else” to find the discounted items. If anything is sold out, it won’t be there any longer, so checking the store is better than a list!

Here is a PDF list of the discounted products if you’d like to check the entire list. Remember, everything is “while supplies last” except for stamps which will be available until May 25 at least.
