Here's my Father's Day card for my husband! I haven't used this set very much even though I like it a lot, so decided a few stamped beers would make a good card this year! The base of the card is Kraft cardstock, the designer paper "Manchester", great for masculine cards. If he wouldn't have come home earlier than I expected, I would have covered the beer steins with Crystal Effects to look like glass….but too late now! I colored the beer with my Watercolor Crayons, with a little shadow of gray around the foam. The inside has the "Happy Father's Day greeting from "All Holidays", a stamp set I just received FREE from Stampin' Up! for my Sale-A-Bration award. It's possible to earn free stamps as a demo! And who doesn't like FREE?!

Birthday Diorama Card
One of my blog readers emailed the other day and asked how I had made the diorama card, which is in THIS post. While I looked up the measurements and refreshed my memory with scrap paper in order to answer her, I got inspired to make another Diorama Card! They really are fun and easy, so you should try it! Once you make one you can see how you could change the measurements to suit your purpose, but these are the ones I used.
You need:
2 pieces of cardstock 8.5" x 3" for the front and back pieces, score each piece at 2" from each end.
1 piece of cardstock 6.5" x 3" for the middle piece, score at 1" from each end.
Punch or cut center opening on front and middle pieces. I used the Large Tag Punch and cut off the little remaining triangles with my Paper Snips. You could use circle punches, a square punch, or even a hobby knife. Using the tag punch, I punched in the center, then off to each side, creating the large opening. You could leave space in between and make window panes. (I love to use the Stampin' Up! grid paper because on it I can measure, align, scribble, stamp, write, etc.)
Before you adhere anything, go ahead and stamp or decorate your card how you want.
To assemble, use a strong adhesive such as Sticky Strip or Tombow Multi Purpose Adhesive. Love that Tombow! Set the middle piece inside the back piece as you see in the photos. Then you will see that the front piece side flaps cover the outside of the "box".
Stamp sets I used on this card:
Trendy Trees, Boho Backgrounds, Party Hearty, Crazy for Cupcakes
Did you notice the "Sneak Peek"?
Graduation Time
Here's another graduation card (or for any occasion) made following almost the same idea as THIS card in a previous post. This time I wanted a money holder. This card is not as wide as it should be to hold the money, but in this case I wanted it to fit in a certain envelope….so I'll just have to fold the money in half! The card front measures 3" x 6" with a fold up pocket on the inside of 2". Therefore, you need to cut your cardstock at 8" x 6", scoring at 2" and 5" so you can fold the 2" pocket up inside the card and then the 3" top folds down.
The star actually spins on the front! I found the design by Dawn while browsing on Splitcoast here. It adds a fun little element!
If you need the star punches to make a spinning star, just place your order here on my website.
My First Three Tier Pop-Up Cake Card
This was originally just my first attempt with my new Three Tier Pop-Up Cake Die, but when it was time to send my daughter a birthday card I decided to go with this pop-up. I only had the "bare" cake constructed, so I had to finish it up. I quickly punched out some flowers with the Trio Flower Punch and inserted Gold Brads and adhered those on the cake. I love to use a touch of glitter anywhere I can, so I used the Two-Way Glue pen on the flames of the candles and shook on some Dazzling Diamonds Glitter.
The front of the card is decorated with some Rainbow Sherbet Designer Series Paper, ribbon, and the Party Hearty stamp set with a little flower from the Pretties Kit. The Designer Paper and ribbon is actually a little band to hold the card closed.
Here's what the card looks like without the band.
This card is made with the new "Three Tier Cake Pop-Up Bigz XL Die" (#116760). You might think this looks too complicated, but I was actually able to make this at 3 am one night when I couldn't sleep! (I think my mind was on this new die I had received and couldn't wait any longer to try it!). A little bride and groom also comes with this die so you can also mkae a wedding cake! And don't think you will be limited to just birthday or wedding cakes! Other creative demos have made pirate ships, a flower pot, and all kinds of designs with this die. Instructions come with the die, and of course I am always available for help!
If you want to own this die and start making your own fantastic projects, just go to my website and click on the "Shop Now" button or contact me and I will be happy to help you with your order.
Sneak Peek New In Colors, New Circle Circus
Here's the first card I finally made with my new In Colors and new stamp set, Circle Circus for our demo preorder.
I made several cards using various combinations of the new In Colors. The technique I used is called Emboss Resist….I stamped the circles with Versamark and embossed with Clear Embossing Powder. Then I sponged on various In Color inks over the embossing and then wiped off with a tissue. Very simple and fun! The polka dot ribbon is also new! Isn't it pretty?!
You can still sign up to be a demo and take advantage of this great preorder opportunity of new products!
Baby Scrapbook Page on the Wall
I was asked to do another scrapbook page, essentially, with some baby photos just like THIS post. Again, I forgot to photograph the page before putting on the photo so I had to obscure the child's photo. I wish you could see it because the expression on her face is so cute! I wanted her expression to be the focal point of the page and had to hold myself back from adding too much to the page.
It's funny how you build a page like this (or at least I do!)….try this, try that, what about this color, photo placement, and then what embellishments. The base paper is from Tea Party Designer Series Paper and the base card stock is Pretty in Pink. Since she is holding a ball, I wanted some circles on the page. For the left hand scallop border, I just punched out lots of circles and placed them partly underneath the cardstock. Then I covered that "seam" with the turquoise DSP from Rainbow Sherbet. It matched her cute little dress and a color on the ball she is holding. The scallop edge underneath the photo is made using the Stampin' Up! Scallop Edge Punch and I added some white dots with my Signo Gel Pen. I wanted to add some chipboard letters for her name. The On Board Timeless Type worked for that, and they were covered with some Raspberry Tart DSP (which matched a color on the ball and in the bow in her hair) using Stampin' Up! Glue Sticks. I used the Flower Assortment Brads along the side of the photo, which added a little something without being too distracting. I added the beautiful Whisper White Organza Ribbon across the bottom underneath the "adorable" from "Warm Words". I'd played with adding flowers, especially the "Fleurettes", but they didn't seem quite right. Finally I thought of adding the white bows as they are and that seemed to be the finishing touch! It just shows that all you need to do is play around a little bit with scrapbooking and finally everything will come together! This could be a scrapbook page but I put it in a 12×12 frame to hang on the wall. I hope the recipient likes it!
If you need to order any of the supplies to make a page like this just go to My Website and click on the Shop Now button. Or contact me if you have any questions about how to make this page or something similar.
Another Upsy Daisy
I really got into using "Upsy Daisy" the other day and had fun making this card.
It was kind of fun using the Basic Gray paper and the Designer Paper is from the Occasions Mini, Walk in the Park. I stamped the daisies with White Craft Ink and then embossed with Clear Embossing Powder, right onto the designer paper for a different look. The yellow card stock is So Saffron.

Stampin’ Up! Last Chance Lists….They’re Here! June Specials, Too!
It's been an exciting morning for Stampin' Up! Demos! Stampin' Up! has released their Last Chance Lists (the new name for "Retiring") as well as given us a glimpse of some new catalog merchandise and Hostess sets that we could preorder starting today!
***For new customers, Stampin' Up! "retires" certain stamp sets and accessories about a month before a new catalog release. This means that if there is something on these lists that you want, you need to order it before it is gone forever. This makes room for new merchandise, which of course we are all always excited about as well! The new catalog will be available for ordering on July 1, 2009. The retiring stamp sets will be available during June because Stampin' Up! manufactures the stamps themselves. However, the accessories and Decor Elements are from other vendors and once the supply is exhausted, that's it! So don't delay in ordering what you want from the current catalog!
Edited 6/2/2009 to add:

I will try to update daily as Stampin' Up! updates on the website. This will just be to give you an idea but you won't know for sure until you order. Be sure to notice selected items are discounted!

Playing with Designer Paper….On Sale Now!
Watercolor Rose
This has been a fabulously popular technique for everyone to try after being demonstrated at the Stampin' Up! Seattle Regional.
You need the Stampin' Up! Shimmery White cardstock for this technique. Just stamp the rose from "Fifth Avenue Floral" with Craft White ink and emboss with clear embossing powder. Now most gals have used a small plastic bottle to mist water over their rose, but not having one handy, I used my Aquapainter (another fabulous must-have tool!), just running the brush over the whole rose to get a fair amount of water within all the embossing. Put some drops of reinker, whatever colors you want to try for your rose, on top of your plastic stamp case. Pick up a color of ink with your Aquapainter and deposit it on your rose. Since you already have a lot of water floating on it, the ink will spread pretty easily. You can use several different colors for your rose….for example, Regal Rose, Pirouette Pink, Summer Sun…. and just place the ink in each little embossed section of the rose. You really can play with it quite a bit, moving the color around, filling in, making something darker, tipping your paper to make the ink run down a little, etc! Don't worry if the color gets outside the lines because you will cut out the rose anyway! Once you have the color filled it, set it aside to dry for awhile. You can pick up excess water with your Aquapainter, wiping it off on your paper towel each time. Once it is dry, just cut out the rose and make your card. You can stamp some leaves, or in my case, I used the Big Shot to make the "Stampin' Up! Little Leaves". Be sure to stamp and emboss more than one rose……cuz I bet you can't make just one!!

Happy Memorial Day!
Although the stamps used on this card are retired, I hope you enjoy this patriotic card for Memorial Day. You probably have something similar if you wanted to duplicate this card or one like it. The focal point of this card is the "God Bless America" stamp by Stampin' Up! This was a special edition single stamp released by Stampin' Up! in remembrance of September 11, 2001. The entire purchase price of the stamp was donated to the September 11th Fund created by the United Way and the New York Community Trust to provide services for the victims and their families. I wasn't even a demo when the stamp came out, just bought it from my upline as a customer, although it wasn't long until I became a demo. I used my Stampin' Write Markers to ink up the different parts of the stamp. The other stars on the card are from a retired stamp set "In the Stars". I used the Top Note die with the Big Shot, cutting out one in white and one in red and trimming the white along the score lines to fit as a layer on the red. The ribbon is current and is the 1/2" striped grosgrain in Real Red.

Fun! Fun! Fun! Going to the Stampin’ Up! Convention!!
One of the most fun things I have ever done was to attend the Stampin' Up! Convention! I've only been to two, and it's been a few years now, but yesterday I registered for the upcoming convention being held in Salt Lake City, Utah August 5-8. Stampin' Up! does everything nicely in every way at Convention and all their activities and incentive trips. I remember a man selling roasted nuts or something from a cart in the lobby at Convention in Orlando and near the end of the last session I needed a snack. This man said to me, "I just don't get it! You ladies have been here since 7 am and now it is 5 pm and you are all still smiling!" Yes we were!! What is more fun than to go to a well-planned event FILLED with creativity WITH dear friends and meeting plenty of new ones, being amazed at the fantastic Stampin' Up! employees you get to see and meet in person, not the least of whom is Shelli Gardner who graciously makes herself available for hours so demos can get a picture with her, great entertainment, awards, lunch, SWAPPING like you have never seen……it's all just fabulous!
And it is not too late for YOU to take get in on this and at a great deal besides! Just sign up to be a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator and you can register for convention, attend all the classes and general sessions, take photos and more photos of the display boards of samples and projects, swap yourself silly, talk, laugh, and be inspired by fellow demonstrators.
