Happy Halloween today! Hope you are ready for a fun Halloween night, going out to a party, trick-or-treating, or passing out candy to the trick-or-treaters! I hope it is not rainy or too cold. Every kid deserves a fun Halloween night! It will be part of their childhood memories for the rest of their life!
If you need one last Halloween idea for an easy little candy holder for Halloween, try this one. You can change it up for other occasions as well and change the dimensions depending on what candy you have.
For this sample, I cut a piece of cardstock at 7 “x 2 1/2”. It is scored at 3/4″, 3-3/4″, and 4-1/4″. As I said, you might want to make it wider, longer, or have a wider space where the two score lines are at the top. Maybe you want it turned the other way so the part that folds over is at the top. Do whatever you like.
I just used a scrap of striped paper from the back of one of the monster faces on the Spooktacular 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper. You can use whatever you have. My paper is cut at 2″x 2 3/4″. Stamp a pumpkin or cut one out of designer paper as I did from the Painted Patch Designer Series Paper. I had a Halloween stamp set from a Paper Pumpkin Kit nearby so I just used that for the greeting and to stamp the face on the pumpkin. There are so many fun things you can do with these! Here’s a very similar idea from a few years ago. You can also add a small strip of designer series paper to the bottom portion. Staple the candy inside and tuck in the top flap or use a few Mini Glue Dots, or punch holes and tie with ribbon. Just have fun!
Hope the Great Pumpkin brings you lots of Halloween candy!
