Kintsugi Inspirations Just For You Card

Kintsugi Inspirations Just For You Card

This Kintsugi Inspirations Just For You Card came about, just like the card from yesterday’s post, when I realized with the holiday season coming up and always new products, I hadn’t used some of my older designer series paper. Just seeing this pattern with the small blue flowers on stems and gold foil accents made me want to use it on a card right away! I also had a scrap of designer paper with these various vases and flowers. Right away I was inspired to cut out the blue and gold vase and use it on this paper.

The card base is Misty Moonlight with a layer of the blue flowers in the Kintsugi Inspirations Specialty Designer Series Paper. All of these papers are beautiful and very different from what we normally have and use. I made a couple of diecut circles for the greeting, both dies in the Spotlight On Nature Dies, one in Misty Moonlight and one Basic White. The greeting is stamped with Misty Moonlight ink from the Traditional Labels Stamp Set.

After placing the greeting flat on the card, I popped up the vase which I had fussy-cut from the paper on Stampin’ Dimensionals. After I did that I got the idea, from seeing a scrap on my table, to fussy-cut a branch of the blue flowers and insert those into a little slit I made in the top of the vase. I used Mini Dimensionals on the back of the flower stem to pop it up like the vase.

As you know, I couldn’t leave well enough alone and had to add an embellishment! I chose the Iridescent Foil Gems to add around the greeting. It’s usually difficult to stop once you get out a package of gems or sequins!

You’ll find the whole Kintsugi Inspirations Suite in the Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog on pages 58-60. That means it likely won’t be discontinued any time soon so you still have a good chance to get this unique paper and even the whole Suite if you like!

In your Kintsugi Inspirations Just For You Card you have gold flowers.

What did you use to create them?

Hi Niki, Those gold flowers are just part of the design of the paper….gold foil accents. Looks pretty and no work for me! LOL! Thanks for your comment.
