Here’s an easy card to make, the Garden Poetry Poppy Parade Card, with a beautiful watercolor look. You’ll find this paper in the Online Exclusives, PLUS it is on the Stampin’ Up! Paper Sale this month! Save 15% until August 31, while supplies last. This Garden Poetry Designer Series Paper wasn’t one I chose when it first came out, but after seeing some samples others made, I ordered it! It is so vibrant and colorful whether you mix colors or make a monochromatic card as I did here.
Today and tomorrow, you can earn 2X Stampin’ Rewards on orders of $20 or more! This will be extra money you can spend on a future order, put in your account. You must have your own Stampin’ Up! account, and you MUST be “Opted In” for Contact to receive Rewards. Don’t worry, Stampin’ Up! doesn’t go crazy sending emails or contacting you, but it helps me if you are a customer and want me to order any new catalog for you because you will show up on my Customer list.
Back to the card! This card is made with Poppy Parade cardstock. I don’t think I’ve used this color in ages. The layer on the card front is a piece of the Garden Poetry Designer Series Paper. It is cut at the usual 4″ x 5 1/4″. It is one of the soft, generic sides of the floral paper.
For the focal point of the card, I cut a piece of the floral pattern a little smaller than usual, at 3″ x 4 1/4″. I decided to layer it on a piece of Basic White, 3 1/4″ x 4 1/2″. I think it makes the floral really look like it was watercolored with the white edge around it.
The greeting is stamped in Poppy Parade ink on Basic White cardstock. This is diecut with a Stylish Shapes circle die. The sentiment is in the Paradise Garden Stamp Set. This set apparently is sold out except for the French version, if you would to make French cards! I also diecut a little banner from the Stylish Shapes dies of Poppy Parade cardstock just to fit underneath the circle to help it stand out a little. Mine is popped up on Stampin’ Dimensionals.
You could add a few gems for a little sparkle if you like. Be sure to check out all the products you could order from Stampin’ Up! and get double Rewards today and tomorrow!
