Cute As a Bug Howdy Card

Cute As a Bug Howdy Card

Here’s another card, the Cute As a Bug Howdy Card, made with the Cute As a Bug Designer Series Paper. “Cute” is the perfect word to describe this paper with all the fun and whimsical insects! Also, included in this designer paper are cut-apart panels like we have seen in some other packages of designer paper lately, which allow you to create your own little scenes using the stamp set or bugs in the designer paper for your cards or scrapbook pages.

This card has a card base of Poppy Parade. It matches the plaid, which is part of the cut-apart panels on the paper. I added a layer of Very Vanilla on the card front, then the Poppy Parade panel across the middle of the Very Vanilla cardstock. The mushroom and fern panel is used for the center focal point of the card.

To make the mushroom panel look more interesting, I cut out this little caterpillar and leaf he is carrying to shield himself from the sun. I popped him up on Stampin’ Dimensionals and placed him on top of the mushroom. The diecut word “Howdy” is from the Saying Something Ephemera Pack. I love it when I find an appropriate sentiment in an ephemera pack because it’s so easy! I thought this “Howdy” would go with the color scheme of the designer paper. It was the right size, and just fit the card.

This is a very easy card to make! Here’s a similar card I made recently where I cut out images from other papers. I don’t know who likes bugs, but these cute bugs are ones you can love, especially creating fun cards with the Cute As a Bug Designer Series Paper!
