Last summer Stampin' Up! Convention attendees were encouraged to enter a contest to have their stamping space made over by Shelli Gardner! The lucky winner was Tamzin Cochrane in Austin, TX! Here is a speeded up video Stampin' Up! showed at Leadership last week of the process! Amazingly, the Gardner family came and did the work themselves! Wouldn't we all love to have them show up at our door?! Maybe you will see some ideas you can use!

Want to Be a Domestic Goddess??
Stampin' Up! has collections of stamping products that coordinate called "Suites". One is called the Domestic Goddess Suite! One of the sheets of designer paper actually looks just like an old tablecloth I have….and many of you probably have, too.
Since I have been busy this weekend working on some kitchen remodeling, I thought it appropriate to post some of the photos from the Domestic Goddess display at Convention! There are two stamp sets, Now You're Cookin' and House & Home, both available in either wood- or clear-mount. Also in this Suite, are the new Mini Clothespins! Don't forget to put those on your next order!
You can get some of these products as digital downloads for My Digital Studio, too!
Isn't this a better use of an ironing board??!

Stampin’ Up! Convention Swap
Here is the only general swapping card I got made this year for the Stampin' Up! Convention. Usually I make LOTS but I only got about 40 made of this one. However, I was also part of an organized swap and I'll show you that swap card next. The Christmas trees are punched with the new Petite Pennants Builder Punch, cardstock and the Just Add Cake Designer Series Paper. The little greeting and star is stamped with the Pennant Parade Stamp Set. For the tree trunk, I just used a Stampin' Write Marker but you could also stamp the little pot in the stamp set. This was faster! This isn't the best lighting on this card as I took the photo in my hotel room! But it is a fun and easy card to make!
If you want to order the Petite Pennants Punch or the Pennant Parade Stamp set in wood or clear-mount, then just visit my Stampin' Up! Online Store HERE. Pennants are the trend right now! Don't miss out! They're fun!
My Digital Studio Hybrid Calendar from Convention
Stampin' Up! offered three +Fun classes on Friday evening during Convention for an extra charge, and I chose to take the "Creating Fabulous Hybrids with My Digital Studio" with Holly Linford. Hybrid means using digital as well as traditional papercrafting. We were given this calendar (July to July) already made in My Digital Studio and a bag of goodies to use to embellish it. Then Holly went page by page through the calendar suggesting how we could embellish some of the pages. Afterwards she went through and gave us tips on using My Digital Studio to design these pages. So we ended up with a lovely calendar, some extra Stampin' Up! products, new downloads, more MDS training….and even cookies and treats! Here are some photos:
We added the bow on the spiral and the little flower on the front.
The white thread is the white Baker's Twine #124262.
You can barely see them, but we added butterflies to some of the centers of the printed butterflies from the Beautiful Wings Embosslit Die #118138. Holly taught us how to design the digital image so that the paper image will fit correctly.
This stamp set, Day of Gratitude, is absolutely gorgeous in "real life" and you can see from this page it is equally beautiful in the digital version! Love these colors together! We just added a little flower and pearl to this page.
We just added some Rhinestone Jewels #119246 to these Merry & Type ornaments . This is a new stamp set in the new IB&C on page 31 and also a digital download #123139. Holly taught us how to add color to these ornaments being as they are outlined shapes. Just add colored punches behind them!
For January we added some bling with the Rhinestones and learned how to do a monochrome look digitally by using drop shadows.
This is one of the cutest pages, I think….we just added some paper flowers from the new punches to the printed digital flowers.
If you haven't tried My Digital Studio yet, you really should learn more about it! The more you use it, the more you love it! It's not hard to learn….I'd NEVER done any digital scrapbooking before….but you just get in there and play around….and it is for way more than digital scrapbooking, as you can see! Stampin’ Up! Convention Highlights
Even though the Stampin' Up! Convention ended on Saturday afternoon, it was still a fun trip home yesterday (except for my suitcase being 6 lbs over the weight limit and having to put my new SU catalog binder, a stamp set and shoes in my carryon and still check a second bag…my laptop bag (from last year's convention!)…to get the weight down….and except for having to rush through the Denver airport even in the same concourse across a couple of "people-movers" to get to my next gate with only a thirty minute layover…while carrying the heavy carryon bag and purse!…and no time for lunch) …because I still was meeting Stampin' Up! Demonstrators at the airport in Salt Lake and on the plane and looking at swaps the demo had sitting next to me. Part of the fun of Convention is that Stampin' Up! Demonstrators are everywhere so it is easy to start chatting right away. In fact, at the gate in Salt Lake City, a lady sat down next to me and I didn't see any signs of SU on her so assumed she was NOT a demo. Then another demo came along and sat down and started talking about going through security with both of us, so I assumed she knew this lady next to me…but no, she could see MY SU paraphenalia and assumed this lady was with ME! Finally, I realized this lady next to me was NOT with Stampin' Up! and didn't know what we were talking about! We told her she should be one of us! Guess we should have tried harder to recruit her!
Slowly reality settled in that the wonderful Stampin' Up! Convention and all its fun and all its perks had come to a close and I was returning to normal life again. But, Stampin' Up! already had a highlight video which captures lots of the moments and experiences of Convention, almost up to the last minute (no video of Spencer Willis singing "The Candy Man" with his children right after Carrie Cudney's candy-themed demonstration!). Just to hear the music brings it all back!
If you would like to be a part of all this excitement and fun, please consider joining us at Stampin' Up! as a Demonstrator! During July only, you can purchase this $99 Starter Kit and be a demo in minutes, plus get a free project to make (it is gorgous!!). Just click HERE to see what you get for $99. It will be the start of a new business and the start of new friendships and fun!

Turning Back Into a Pumpkin!
The Stampin' Up! Convention is over so just a few more hours to bask in all of the excitement as I try to pack everything in my suitcase and carryon. Of course I have my "valuables"…better than jewels…my Make & Takes (that I didn't make), my swaps, my new stamp sets, my purchases from Memento Mall, my free stamp set for attending five classes (why wouldn't you??), my pack of Holiday Minis (oh wait till you see it!!!), my new catalog in a Stampin' Up! binder with dividers for categories, my new bag…and maybe even a leftover cookie from the class last night!
I don't know where to start but I'll post a few photos that I just downloaded that I took today of the displays. ENJOY!!
Look at that tiny little card with the small doily from the Flirtacious Specialty Paper! I love it..and so did several other ladies as I was looking at the displays.
Cute, cute, cute!

Stampin’ Up! Convention Display Photos Christmas
Christmas Displays from the Stampin’ Up! Convention 2010
I thought it would be fun to look back at some of the photos I took of the display boards at Convention this past summer. Maybe you can get some Christmas ideas from them!
All images copyright Stampin' Up! 2010
Hope you enjoyed those! I'll post some more for tomorrow!
And if you would love to see display boards like these and more at the fabulous Stampin' Up! Convention every year, it would be great if you signed up to be a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator! Read about doing so HERE. Someone could gift you with the Starter Kit for Christmas!
Favorite Stampin’ Up! Convention Photos
Let me see if I can possibly find and pick out some favorite things from Convention that I haven't shown yet!
Whew! That's not nearly all there is to show but I guess that is enough for now! You should be able to click on any photo to enlarge. Isn't it amazing the things you can make with Stampin' Up! products??! And the creative talent of Stampin' Up! artists and demonstrators??! The display area you see above is just one small part of what they had for us….and this was late afternoon when it was easy to get close to the display boards to get good photos…usually demonstrators were clustered around in crowds trying to get their shots at busy times, like lunch! I've always said it is the ideas that I love the most, even if I never got to stamp!
Want to be a part of all this??! You wouldn't be disappointed! Look into joining Stampin' Up! as a demonstrator! I'd be happy to talk to you about it! It's a fantastic way to start your own business and have fun at the same time!
More Stampin’ Up! Convention!
There's so much to tell and show about the Stampin' Up! Convention! The only way you can really grasp it all is to attend yourself! And that means become a Demonstrator!
This was the slogan for Convention.
Shelli coming out on stage after the theme song. Loved the tag in the background and the giant rubber stamp!
This was the fun and festivity before General Session everyday! The music was playing, people were dancing in the aisles, both demos and SU employees, there were hula hoops, and of course swapping!!! If walking in this room didn't get your energy flowing, nothing would!
After Jill and Bonnie did their stamping demonstrations, they performed for us! That's one of the many things I love about the Stampin' Up! people….they are SO talented!
And Brent Steele played his banjo before he made a bunch of fantastic Halloween projects for us!
Here's Pam Morgan, but I wanted you to see the cute brackets and embellishments on the sides of the big screens!
Entertainment after Awards was Charley Jenkins, who drove his bus onstage! Does the guitar look like anything stamping related?? He had a song about Stampin' Up! products and then gave the guitar away to a lucky demo in the audience!
This was the annual game show, much better than last year, I thought! It was a take- off of a game show on TV.
This isn't the best picture, but wanted to show you how the Stampin' Up! employees line up where we walk in and cheer the demonstrators! Really a nice touch! What other companies are like this??!
Here's Shelli walking in down the aisle on MY side, which I missed until I heard the shrieking because I was sending a text on my phone!
And here's paper ribbon confetti shot off at the end of Convention after Shelli's announcement that we would be receiving a free gift…we all received a pack of new Designer Series Paper coming in the Holiday Mini, an ink pad, glitter, and a Hostess stamp set! All you have to do is offer stampers free stamping product and the roof just about blows off!! So exciting and fun!
Wouldn't you like to join us next year at the Stampin' Up! Convention??!
Color Confections Product Display! Oh My!!
In my opinion, this display was worth the price of admission of Convention! Stampin' Up! really outdid themselves on this! Way back in the corner of the Gathering Place where all the display boards of card, scrapbook pages, and projects were and all the other wonderful booths and displays Stampin' Up! set up to help us in our businesses, was this fantastic place! The Color Confections Product Showcase! I wish you all could have seen it in person! You wouldn't believe it! Just look at it!
And everything that looked like candy and confections and treats…..were paper products! Little candies made out of paper, spools of ribbon covered and decorated with card stock, buttons packaged up like little candies, cupcakes and brownies made from paper, brads packaged like candy, stamps decorated with embellishments…..well, just check out some of my photos! And I can't even show you everything because lots of new products will be in the new Holiday Mini!
If you're thinking that you wish you could have been there, you should be contacting me so we can get you signed up as a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator so you will be ready to go next year…..or maybe an earlier event! Read more about being a demonstrator here.
Back from the Stampin’ Up! 2010 Convention!
Oh my gosh, where should I start???!!! My internet wasn't working this morning which allowed for a couple hours of napping on the sofa! You just get so tired at Convention from all the excitement all of the time, (and maybe the travel and time change and altitude has something to do with it, too!) but you force yourself to keep going every minute so you don't miss anything and because you know it will end in a few days. I'm not sure my brain is fully back to real life yet because I just ate lunch staring at a little yellow toy car taxi on my kitchen table and not even wondering why we have a toy taxi on the kitchen table! The boys are in their twenties now so we don't have toy cars around the house anymore! I guess my husband got it at the run he did on Saturday. My mind was spinning while I was eating lunch trying to decide what to tell you first! When I downloaded my photos last night I had over 2000!!
So here they are, one by one! (just kidding!)
The Bags, Oh the Bags!
Once I arrived on Wednesday, the first thing to do was check-in over at the Salt Palace and get my bag and loot! The bright orange bag is the one Stampin' Up! gave everyone which held out convention booklet, pin, pen, meal tickets, stamp sets for make & takes, etc. etc. Easy way to identify another Stampin' Up! demonstrator all around town!
Next was straight to shopping at Memento Mall where we had already had a Sneak Peek beforehand of the Craft Tote, the bag you see already filled with stuff from traveling (it came empty!). Lo and behold if they weren't also selling a matching laptop bag…..not that I have a laptop!….but you got $7 off if you bought both and who wouldn't want a matching set?!! Maybe I can put paper or catalogs in that! And then there were the cute brown bags, like the ones they had last year made of recycled material or something. At first I only bought the one with the flowers….until the next day when I saw ladies carrying the one that matches the Play Date Designer Series Paper that looked so cute in use! Aren't the owl tags on the bags the cutest things?!!
And, of course, at Memento Mall there were other things to buy! Had to get a new charm, new pens, STAMPIN' UP! RULERS!, Stampin' Up! pop-up trash cans, tee shirt, salt water taffy with Stampin' Up! wrappers, Stampin' Up! Christmas ornament, a pack of sample pages of all the designer paper, probably more things, too!
Flower Power Party
Later that evening was the Flower Power Party! Most everyone dressed up at least just a little bit in the 60's Flower Child style! Some really went all out!
Here is my friend Nona and I with Mark Jessen, Stampin' Up! Senior Curriculum Developer. Mark has really dressed the part! You can't see my original mood ring I found in my drawer! Stampin' Up! also passed out some beads to wear!
Here are some random pictures of the party!

A crazy costume!

The Gathering Place
I don't know who this demonstrator is, but we loved her costume!
Don't know who these demos are either, but wow, did they have great outfits! I'm sure I had a dress like the black and white one, plus white boots!! Such a fun night!
Besides the tryouts for the Stampin' Up! game show, the face painting, the hula-hooping, the prizes, etc. going on, there were also several demonstrators giving fabulous demonstrations of projects from birthday party to wedding to baby to easy workshop projects to vintage…..all wonderful!
I think my computer is tired from uploading photos so I will stop here! More tomorrow!
