April Fool’s Day! Making Christmas Cards From Paper Scraps!

Christmas Cards From Scraps

It’s time to make Christmas cards and tags! Happy April Fool’s Day! Actually, I’m not really purposely making Christmas cards on April Fool’s Day, but I am using up some paper scraps! And I found this sleigh all made up and this die cut reindeer plus the Candy Cane Lane scrap of designer paper in my scrap box! Even the Z-Fold card and the Early Espresso tag was in the box as well! The other card stock was also scraps which I keep in my cardstock package as it comes from Stampin’ Up!

Box of Paper Scraps

Here is my box of scraps of die cuts and punched shapes and whatever miscellaneous got thrown in here!  You might recognize the box as a Paper Pumpkin box with the lid cut off! Looks like a perfect size to keep just enough but not too many paper scraps in!

Made From Paper Scraps

Here is another card I made with my paper scraps on April Fool’s Day!  I had lots of die cut flowers from the Botanical Builder Framelits Dies and some stamped with the Botanical Blooms Photopolymer Stamp Set.  I even had two halves of doilies and this punched Whisper White tag on which I placed the flowers and leaves. And guess what else I found in my box of scraps?  A tiny watercolored butterfly!  Or “fooffly” as our daughter used to say! For some pizzazz I added Rhinestone Jewels on the flowers and Pearls on the butterfly.

On another Early Espresso tag made with the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch, I made a birthday tag with some die cut balloons from the Balloon Adventures Photopolymer BundleI just drew on some black lines for the balloon strings and added a greeting from Teeny Tiny Wishes.

What kind of paper scraps do you have laying around?  Time to dig in and use some of them up! Challenge yourself to create with what you already have on hand – plus it saves time of making those elements.  You’ll probably be surprised how much you can make with your scraps!

Happy April Fool’s Day!
